Great product

My New Favorite Home Assistant and Speaker!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got a new 4th Gen Amazon Echo and was pleasantly surprised by how much I actually liked it. I've tried out just about every smart home assistant / speaker out there in the last few years with mixed results. We have several Dots in our house as well, and although we like them, they were never something incredible in my mind. When we decided to try out the new Echo, my expectations weren't all that high. Luckily, after a quick setup, the Echo far exceeded those expectations. Setup was a breeze with the Alexa app. After a quick sync to our wireless internet, I was off and running. Syncing apps for music and other stuff was so easy. I quickly had my calendars added as well. The Echo is a decent size and has some weight to it, but looks great in my opinion. My favorite feature of all though, it sounds great! We love having music playing throughout our house, and this Echo makes that simple while providing great sound quality. Highly recommend!

Good Quality

I was impressed that it was packed tightly and well protected when it arrived. It was quite simple to set up.Has good sound quality and voice recognition. I actually haven't used it much yet, Still need to learn more about all of it's functions.

Fantastic
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are so many great features with echo 4 compared to the other models, first would be the design round about the size of a grapefruit. It looks great on the counter modern type design compared to the older Echos, sound is unbelievably great, music is very clear bass sounds great.
The weight is perfect not lightweight so it does not slide easily around. Setup was very easy, it does come with a temperature sensor which is a great option if you have a fan or other device that runs on Alexa you can set up a routine to turn that device on when the temperature get to a certain temp.
The blue light ring at bottom of base is nice compared to the ring on top of the older Echos, seems to pick up voice better. Really happy with the sound design and extra options. Will be picking up another

Easy & convenient for a busy family
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Amazon 4th generation is super easy to use and really convenient with our busy lives with a few little ones running around.
All you need to do is take it out of the box, plug it into an outlet, and follow the instructions in the Alexa app which is required.
Once you’ve connected it to your Wi-Fi you have access to the Alexa personal assistant, a mamas dream. With Alexa you can do everything from control compatible smart home devices, make a list, set reminders to asking it questions about the weather. I was able to play music directly from the speaker just by asking Alexa and the assistant was also helpful with controlling playback. And there are also buttons built into the top of the speaker for playback.
I totally recommend turning on “Follow-up Mode” in device settings so that you don’t need to repeat the wake word after you’ve asked the speaker a question. So after you’ve asked Alexa a question it will answer and then automatically listen to for a few seconds to see if you have a follow up question, because saying Alexa each time can get a bit annoying.
We’re a house full of Alexas so it’s nice to be able to talk within the devices instead of yelling for the kids to come downstairs.
This 4th gen is larger and rounder than the previous generations we have but having a different look than the others is nice for aesthetics around the house.
We also received the Amazon smart plug. It’s rectangular, 3 prong and measures 1.5 x 3 x 2 inches, so you need to make sure you have enough space to plug this THEN your cord to your electronic.
Super easy to install, also within the Alexa App. It’s definitely convenient to be able to talk to turn our lights off with hands full of kids.
Overall, Alexa is helpful and easy to use. From one busy mama to another, snag it up.

Nice New Design

We were excited to see that there is a new design of the echo and echo dots as the 4th gen has a more fun appearance to it. We use this to add items to our shopping list, play music, and control the smart plugs. The speaker quality is great and this one has made us want to upgrade our other dots.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 4th Generation Amazon Echo is a great addition to any room! I love the modern design, it can fit on any table, counter or shelf. The cord is pretty long which is a nice bonus if your outlet isn't right by the device. The sounds is top notch! You definitely get a nice balanced mix of sound all over the room the device is in. There are so many things that Alexa can do now, including pairing your smart devices with Alexa. This past Christmas, we really enjoyed having our Christmas tree plugged into the smart plug so we just asked our Amazon Echo to turn our tree on for us. My kids really enjoy asking Alexa to tell them a joke or to play a silly song. You can even add a kids feature to your Amazon Echo to make it kid friendly which is definitely a bonus feature if you have children. You can make calls from your Echo or ask Alexa to order you things from Amazon. I love getting notifications from Alexa that I might be running low on something that I order regularly and she will ask me if I want her to order that item for me. Treat your self this new year to the 4th generation Amazon Echo or give it to someone as a present, either way, it's a win/win for you and the receiver of the gift!

All-new Echo (4th Gen)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is very interesting I do have speakers that I can ask my phone to play music or to call someone. So I have heard others on this particular one and I was excited to try it. Let me tell you it was not a bad choice. I really am enjoying to have it at home not only it is a speaker you can ask questions like what the weather is like and to call my husband. I love that it match my decor and it just take a little bit of space. The sound quality is great very static free and if I have it in the living room it can hear me from my room.You can also as to put in a product on your shopping list and it will do it. Echo delivers clear highs, dynamic mids, and deep bass for rich, detailed sound that automatically adapts to any room. It was also easy to start setting it up as well.

The smart plug was easy to install and works well with turning on and off lights.

Great upgrade!

It is not too big and doesn't take up a lot of space but still produces great sound from the speaker. Setting and syncing is super easy. The microphone easily picks up our voices even over some background noise and it is still easy to see the light of the ring even though it is on the bottom. The one thing that I wish was that that cord was longer.
The Echo not only adds convenience for the adults in the household but is entertaining for the kids and grandkids as well. They like to play games, ask questions, tell jokes, and listen to stories. It's so easy to get the weather report, access the grocery list, listen to music and podcasts, or set reminders. The options are endless, including connecting the echo with a smart plug to use voice control for any outlet in the house.

Must have!! Absolutely love it!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You must download the Alexa app, must have an existing account or make a new one. Then set it up and use WiFi. After the setup, you can play music. You can have your own grocery list, playlist and much more for lists. You can have Shopify, pandora and many more for listening to music but you have to connect to your account. It’s a very advance piece of technology. I love using it for music, and my lists that I have. Very easy to use, all you have to say is “Alexa” then whatever you want to do. Alexa is my favorite of all, I definitely need one in my bathrooms and kitchen. The do come in handy. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for one!!!

Instantly the answer is rolling of her digital tongue. Even better... Listening to my favorite songs that no one else likes and you will never hear on the radio... Alexa has got my back. The Amazon Echo (4th Gen) has an incredible sound to it as well. It's a must, just go get it!

I personally like to use it with the smart plug . This way I can attach it to other devices such as my lights and my coffee machine. Another useful attribute Is that it is compatible with my Ring device.The sound is more powerful than the original and it has many more attributes. Sleek,Quality speaker and so much more!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Prior to getting this Amazon Echo 4th generation, we had the Echo Dot. The Echo’s sound quality is top-notch and it is also very sleek, albeit larger. It is quite easy and fast to set up. It detected my other Fire-sticks rather quickly. We also connected our Ring Alarm, Nest Thermostat, our smart bulbs and an Amazon Smart Plug we just got. So now we only have the Alexa app to control these devices instead of several apps! Aside from the ability to play crisp sounding music, there is so much more that this Echo can do such as schedule alarms, set timers, play games. The smart plug was easy to sync with the Echo on the Alexa app and you can name it whatever you wish. We used it to connect our Christmas Tree, fireplace lights and the train set under the tree. All we need to do it say “Alexa, turn on Christmas Tree” and all these turn on! It simplifies turning on/off these lights. I want to get more of these smart outlets to use with our window candle lights. So instead of turning on all 10 lights individually, all I would need to do is say “Alexa, turn window lights on.” This is a game changer since we light our candle lights year-round. Additionally, to manually control these lights or set a schedule from the Alexa app, when we are away, adds a level of security plus it’s nice to come home to a lit house. The only cons which I noted were Alexa’s inconsistent response to commands. Sometimes Alexa responds immediately and other times I need to repeat “Alexa” a few times with a loud voice for the command to be followed. Also, the white power cord is not aesthetic as our Echo is black. Otherwise, this device is a must have not only for a quality speaker but to control a variety of smart devices which many households may have. We use it through each day. My wife says “Alexa” feels like a family member and amazes us when she recognizes our voices!
