Good drill with good features
This drill replaces a Sears Craftsman 3/8" Model 315 I bought new 50 years ago. It still runs but has issues. Both are VSR drills. Dewalt weighs 8 ounces less than the Sears which I like. Both have trigger lock which I like BUT Dewalt only locks at high speed and Sears has three locks at low, medium, and high speeds. The Sears has a crawl low speed which I prefer while the Dewalt has a jog as its lowest speed. The Sears has a middle handle which aids balance which I prefer over the Dewalts pistol handle. If the Sears were available new today I would buy it over the Dewalt. But the Dewalt is a good second with all other brands a distant third. As Sears was the leader 50 years ago, Dewalt is the leader today. Blondie says lunch is ready so I got to run!

Earlier model still great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have what I believe to be an earlier model of this. It still works great and has good control between speeds. Mine has a level which I have found to be useful.

Fine quality product
Bought and used this drill in a heavy industrial setting for MANY years. Used and sometimes abused it but it always did the job! There are better drills but this one suited my needs perfectly.

Great Product
Purchased this to replace an old other make that gave up after 30 years, I think I may get years of service from this but it will have to be left to my kids to get 30 years lol.
