Easy installation!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was very easy to install, replace regular outlet with this one, sync with the app and you're good to go! I have both Google Home and Alexa and both work great. I will say, however, I'm not a fan of the fact that the bulbs are so expensive. Other than that, I think this is a terrific setup.

Great product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to get an on/off switch for our Christmas tree this year and am so happy I did! The GE 3-wire on/off smart switch is perfect! It is very easy to set up and even easier to use it! I love the ability to have an on/off switch for our Christmas tree lights! Highly recommend this product!

Easy set up
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to install and use. The directions are clear and straightforward. My 70 year old parents were able to use this. We set up these switches in their home bedrooms and our own. Highly recommend from a repeat costumer.

Great as a Night Light
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thought it would be easy to install, but unfortunately I blew a fuse that cause my power to go out. So be careful when you are kicking the existing wires with the GE wires. I didn't which cause the wire to slip out and since it wasn't attached to anything the fuse blew. Now that was the first attempt. Second time was a breeze. LOCKED all three up,. SCREWED all screws back in place, FLIPPED the power back on(yes remember to turn off before unscrewing the original light face plate). Let there be light. Love the glowing faceplate. Really helps when it's dark.

Detailed instructions
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tried to install but unfortunately not compatible with our current place, so will be storing it for the next. The instructions were nice and detailed though, and the concept of a smart switch is still very useful. I can’t leave a 5 star review simply because it isn’t compatible with ours but I would still recommend for those who have a compatible home for it.

Best switch .....
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] switch and a button based on/off switch, along with a number of C By GE led lights. These switches do install quite easily, and look pretty nice. They seem to work pretty well, I was able to add them in the C By GE Android app and also to Google Home and they can be programmed onto Google Home routines, and respond well to the voice controls.
While they work good though, I have noticed that whenever you lose power and the power comes back on it seems all the lights controlled by these switches also turn on. The dimmer switch lost the ability to dim, I had reopen the C By GE app and re-select the bulb type, then it was working again.
Also the switches don't seem to have any indicator on them as to whether or not the light its controlling is on or off. You can see in the apps what is currently on or off, and usually you can tell if the light the switch controls is in the room of the switch. But one of the switches I put for my front porch light, I can't see that light easily without opening the front door. I can't glance over at the smart switch to determine if it's currently on or off as it doesn't tell you.
There are LED indicator lights on the switches but they're not used to notify you if the light is on or off. The toggle switch has a tiny LED that seems to only flash during initial setup and if it loses wifi connectivity, beyond that it always stays off. The button based switches have a LED ring around the button, during normal use this LED is solid white and never changes. It's blue during initial setup, and red if it loses wifi. There seems to be no option in the settings to turn on the LED ring only if the light is on (or off) and turn the LED back off when the opposite criteria is met.
