It worked.
I was a little skeptical but had not been having much success finding the problem with three strands of lights on an already strung Christmas tree. I purchased the Light Keeper Pro and it worked as advertised. The Pro offers two means of fixing a bad string of lights. It can detect where a bad bulb or broken wire is by tracing the flow of voltage in the wires. This works well if the string of lights can be stretched out but not so well on a pre-strung tree because of the jumble of wires.. The other method is to cause a spark in the light wires. This will fix any defective shunts in a bad bulb. This second method fixes two of my three strands.
