Previous model better
This model is definitely worse than the previous model. I installed the previous model over 25 years ago and it is still working flawlessly. I installed the new model to compliment it because of large size of my bathroom. The new model is real noisy until it heats up to its peak operating temperature.

Great heat, not very loud at all.
I like how much heat this generates and am surprised at how quite the blower is. I was expecting something much louder

Waste of money
We installed a new fan shortly after we bought our home. Old one was burned out. The new one worked for a couple of months. Heater would turn off and then turn back on after several minutes. Eventually it turned off and never came back on. Never did the job it was intended to do. Wasn't cheap either.

This product does not measure up to Broan's reputation.
I had ,1 possibly, a model 154 ( it had wire heating element) that lasted over 20 years. Another identical one that lasted about 10 years. Then I purchased 1 that lasted 10 minutes and another one that was a replacement that lasted another 10 minutes. While reading troubleshooting guide I see that it is designed to run for 15-20 minutes and then the thermal couple shuts it off and cannot be rest. The first 2 would shut off but restart when it cooled off. Very poor design. Thermal couples a should be designed to have the capability to restart. Unfortunately, I have not found another surface mount available or I would purchase it.

Would not reccommend this product!
Over the last 30 years I have had 2 Broan heaters both lasting about 15 years each. I replaced the last one with a 157 that lasted about 15 minutes, the next one lasted about an hour, the third one just quit after being on only twice..

Works well as a heated fan
If you intend to heat a room, this is probably not the product you want. Not enough power unless its a very small room.
Mine is installed about the wife's sink and provides a nice warm air draft during mirror time. Installed it on a 15 minute timer for automatic shutoff.
Ran daily for 5 years before the heating element burned out. Ordering and replacing element and the safety breaker was relatively simple.
