61 years using, professional finisher, building co
I have applied MinWax products for 61 years professionally, I was once one of the world's largest contractors, building, heavy construction, built cabinets, floors, furniture, refinished, covering every trade, I never had any problems, none! Education , preparation is a must, I always say if in doubt! Try it on mock up sample, master the art and you will have a museum piece, I'm using this polyurethane on 17 doors in my home as I write this letter and all look spectacular. J. R.

As advertised
I don't know what the bad reviews are for when it's obviously operator failure, glass finish and depth galore... Haven't even buffed it, I did it 12 hours ago and looks like this!

Orange peel
I keep getting an orange peel finish. I'm getting really discouraged.

*NOT CLEAR*
One spray coat of the clear satin completely changed the color of my closet door. Trying to flip closet doors from a condo. Renter put holes in them. Top right is original face of the doors, bottom right is original backside of the doors. VERY close match. Just seemed to be lacking a finish coat. Sprayed clear satin on the back side of the door to the left. You can’t tell me that’s clear.

Do not sand between coats!
I VERY lightly sanded between coats and it stripped the gel stain off in many places. I had to retouch up a bunch of spots. Not sure why it says to sand...

Beware water
I've used Minwax polyurethane for years to refinish woodwork in the house and am pleased with the finish and ease of application. However, God forbid a drop of water gets on it because you will be left with a permanent spot or ring.
