Rated 1 out of 5 by from The wizz does not work I bought the wizz along with the Scott's winter fertilizer product. Never used Scott's products before and probably won't ever again. The Wizz spreader I bought worked for about 30 seconds. Thought maybe the batteries were ad so I replaced them. New batteries, same results, nothing! Not sure how the fertilizer will work, but definitely not buying another Scott's product. Don't waste your money on the Wizz!!! Mike

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Want more battery power and loose the tiny screw Great spreader, BUT I want D cell batteries so I don't have to change the little AA batteries three times to do my lawns. Also, lose the screw that holds the battery cover. Ridiculously small, and already stripped after three uses, plus hard to remove and replace with gloves on. Now I just duct tape it shut. Just give me a good quality snap-in connection without the tiny little screw. These suggestions would make for a far superior product worthy of the SCOTTS name.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A nice little spreader I purchased this spreader because it was ergonomic, easy to hold, some of the older spreaders are like holding a coffee cup and with the fertilizer added the weight is hard on my wrist. This spreader is battery operated so no cranking handle is another big plus, I can hold this at my side nice and comfortably. The way it is designed there are no chemicals hitting your clothes or shoes also it has an edging guard so that you can adjust the spread, a little bit, nice if you're walking along a sidewalk or curb, very little fertilizer on the surfaces. It is ideal for smaller lawns and narrow spaces, I wouldn't want to do this on a half acre but it handle it you go to a bigger walk behind spreader to take that kind of job.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failed within 4 months I bought this in March and tried to use in early August and it did not spin. I put in brand new batteries and still no success. Sad that it broke after just 3 uses. Don’t recommend at all.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Burns through batteries too fast. Must buy higher power batteries which are more expensive.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Weak motor, bad hopper design for product feed Bought this to allow my 75 YO body to spread Snapshot DG pre-emergent. Motor bogs down as it runs, making the spread uneven. Product does not feed well into the window above the rotor, so unit must be shaken, or product scooped to the front as it operates. Product accumulates under the rotor and when the unit is shaken to redistribute the product in the hopper, the accumulation under the rotor drops to the ground, further creating an uneven, spotty distribution. A great product idea that appears to have been rushed to market without sufficient research. A customers focus group would have revealed it's weaknesses, that customers unfortunately must now endure, A real shame.. :-(

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Electrical failed after 3 years Electrical system malfunction after 3 years is very disappointing. I've changed batteries once a year and even kept the unit in the basement during our WI winters to no avail. Planned obsolescence wins! Luckily I saved my old hand crank unit and the job was finished just as quickly. Save money and exercise your wrist, if they still make them get the hand crank model!
