bad redesigne
The bottle mouth is wider and you can now get into and clean it. this is a plus.
but the cap is designed so you have to spend extra money for these charcoal filters that really are not needed unless you are a millennial or have really bad water. The bowl is wide open and no longer closed off from dirt and debris that the dog will drop in while drinking so you can no longer do a quick dump with out dumping the whole thing. plus you can't take it apart to do a complete cleaning like you could the old style.
It was a pain cleaning my old bottle, bleach water, swirling, letting it sit sun bleaching it on nice hot summer days. but I really wish it had not broken. The new bottles will not fit in my old waterer. So I have retired my new one and decided to just go with a huge plane old water dish. It sure beats finding the dogs water smelling like the Hockamock swamp. Yuck!

Great heavy duty product.. This should not be in the sun as the bottle will deteriate fast and crack... Looking for a replacement bottle now.. DO you seel replacement bottles??

heavy and hard to lift when full
A great product which does what it claims. BUT it is quite heavy when filled with 4 gallons of water ( 32+ lbs ) and difficult to hold. Handholds on the sides would be a great improvement.
