Bought two, both didn’t last a day
I bought two for work. One was DOA right out of the box. The other stopped turning on during the first day of use. After that it would work intermittently for a little while then went completely

Bright little light!
I was gifted an HX5 a couple of years ago and I've been pleasantly surprised with the performance to the point of purchasing a second one to go in my car. I'll probably get another one for the truck at some point. As a retired industrial mechanic, I have gone through a drawer full of flashlights over the years, but none of them can compete with the HX5, (sorry maglite). If I can make a recommendation, the tail cap button needs to be improved. It's somewhat difficult to use bare fingered and really difficult wearing gloves, and that's why I give it 4 stars. But all in all, it's a great light, and it's got a lifetime warranty.

Great little light
Coast is my go to brand for flashlights. HX5 is a small light with a lot of power ! You can carry in your front pocket and forget it is even there. Adjust the beam to what you need effortlessly . Handy light to have in every room of your house and your tool box !

The Flashlight that Started my Coast Journey
At the end of 2022, I decided to replace my aging, decades old Mag Lites. As a small Holiday present to myself, I decided to buy the Coast products HX5 LED flashlight from a local big box hardware store.
When I received it, I was thrilled to experience the quality of this little gem of a flashlight. The weight gave it a nice confident & balanced feel in my hand. Operation of the on/off switch was firm & decisive. Control of the beam w/the slide focus was intuitive & easy to use.
Overall, my first impression of Coast Products was strong enough to peak my curiosity and encourage me to explore the Coast Products web-site. As I told Bobby, in Customer Service, on a recent call, I am hooked & addicted to Coast Products! LoL! Coast Products simply ticks off all of the boxes that make them a company I will support w/confidence in my little corner of the world!

Reliable, bright and convenient
I do home inspections and having good light is incredibly important. I wear this on a lanyard around my neck so it's always handy. After many years carrying a mag light, it is such a relief to have a light that gives better light in ways a fraction of the mag light. I like it well enough that I have one for work, one in the barn, one in the shop and One at my desk.

I use this light every day and wear them out I save old lights and interchange parts I have puchased at 10 or more over the years and given them as gifts

The Coast HX5-A Simple, Awesome Little Flashlight
I love this little flashlight because it's perfect for adding some extra light when working on things around the house or in the garage. It's simple On / Off switch makes using it fast as you don't have to cycle thru a strobe or other power settings to use it. It's also plenty bright and easy to focus using just one AA battery. Or you can use a rechargeable lithium battery and get much more light. This HX5 replaced an older HP1 that I used to hold in my mouth when I needed both hands, but the clip on this light can slip over the brim of my ball cap and point forward... a nice feature. You won't be disappointed with this flashlight. Also, I can't say enough about this company's customer service as this HX5 was sent to me as a replacement for my HP1 that was discontinued.
