Large Heavy Duty Drift Cutters
Drift cutters are great but the new "round" style knobs that hold the cutters in place and are loosened or tightened to swing the cutters in place for use are too thin and too small making it almost impossible to loosen and tighten with or without wearing gloves. There's hardly anything to grip because they are too thin and too small. The older design "T" style knobs shown in some photos of the cutters mounted to the snowblower are what should be provided by the manufacturer instead so there is something to facilitate easier and faster "swing up for use / swing down when not needed" operation. Really dislike the round knobs!

Just Added One
Easy to install - except for the knobs. I'm not sure you need locking nuts inside these to hold the cutters in position. Whoever specified this design requirement didn't consider the fact that these will have to be turned in the freezing cold of winter to move them from their storage to their operational position. Not all of us are going to be doing this in a nice, heated garage or showroom. These are really, really hard to turn to either snug them up or loosen them so you can move the cutters.

needs some redesign
The only thing that I do not like is the pieces that attach the drift cutter. The do not work well with the bolts provided. You cannot tighten them fully. Will have to look for some other way to make this work on the snowblower.

UPDATE: A Five-Star Wow!
We just a a blizzard dropping 2 ft of snow with 3 ft drifts. I am sure glad that I had this cutter kit. I began with the cutters in the down position but my 28" Deluxe SHO was not up to the job. I raised the cutters and the cutters worked flawlessly in the 2' snow. The 3' drifts were still a challenge but may have been impossible without these. Used once and I feel that they have paid for themselves already. Caveat: They seem to be shipping an older packaging. Mine did not come in a nice box as in the video above and installation instructions were not the full page version shown in the video. You cannot install using the included instructions I received; however, the video on this page shows the correct installation. I had mine on using the wrong holes until I saw the video and corrected the installation.

Great Potential
Haven't had a chance to use it yet. Once I bought the Sno Thrower, it stopped snowing in my area. It seems to be a heavy duty, quality product that will certainly get the job done. However, you should be warned that the instructions are useless for the newer model machines. I purchased a 28" Deluxe SHO and it does not have the two rows of holes that the instructions tell you to attach to. Not hard to figure out a work around but they do need to update the instructions. The cutter does have to be fully removed between uses if you don't have the two rows of square holes.

I'm 75 years old and had no problem putting it on my Ariens Snowblower. Haven't had a chance to use them yet. No snow.

Probably would buy again if needed
Although my snowblower model was listed as one the drift cutters would fit, I believe they are not correct. In the stored position they extend several inches below the auger housing. They will, however, probably work just fine. We have not had any measurable snowfall as yet so i haven't had the opportunity to use the machine.

One major flaw
Although it has not snowed enough to test it out, I did have a problem with the install. The plastic hold down is impossible to tighten down without a very large pliers. Combine this with cold weather and snow using them becomes very inconvenient.
