Bad Experience
I replaced the water filter with the new one I bought from your outfit and successfully ran 2 gallons of water through, then it mysteriously shut off my water at the refrigerator. After reinstalling the new filter nearly a dozen times with no change, I gave up. Many hours later I noticed that the water mysteriously came back on … for how long I have no idea. It was a lot of money to have my water and thus, ice maker shut off. It would be helpful to have a bypass which did not come with my tecently purchased refrigerator.

Matches model # but doesn’t fit!!
My GE refrigerator model # PFE28RSHGSS, serial # RF512534 tells me that the water filter # is RPWFE … but it doesn’t fit!! My husband has to take a box cutter & cut off a tab in order for it to fit. I understand that this model # has been upgraded for this specific reason. Pls tell me the upgrade # so I can order it for my fridge.

I have had the filter for a couple of weeks but was away on a trip - just put in the new filter yesterday. This was the first time I had to replace the filter on my new refrigerator and was pleased that it was so easy to take the old one out and put the new one in. It seems to be working well.

GOOD TASTING WATER

Cracked water filter
When we received the water filter it looked fine, we installed it and it worked for less than a day. The refrigerator was full of water. When we pulled it out, it was cracked at the connection base. Unfortunately, the refrigerator water and ice features do not function without the water filter. We pulled the old one out of the trash to see if it could be used until another replacement came. It was also cracked.

Didn’t work when installed
First time replacing water filter on brand new refrigerator. New filter installed without issue but now my water and ice maker won’t work at all. Had to schedule a service call and the soonest they can get here is TWO WEEKS!!!
