Great hood
I have just replaced my old hood after 30 plus years (also bought a new platinum series snow blower to go with it) the hood does not fog up. I would give it 5 stars except I needed to add a support to prevent it from dropping in the back. There is no way to tighten it up with the 2 clamps that came with it. You need to do a redesign for the mounts.

If needed.
Ariens cab is great, however ariens could improve the unit by putting some additional braces on the back of cab to keep it from tipping down. Thank you.

Does actually work as intended on Pro model and bolts don't fit through intended plates
Ariens Pro model has square tube and no crossbar to secure this Ariens "universal" cab to. I could technically still use this without a crossbar if I clamp this down ridiculously hard. Which I intended to do, except the books provided for the square tube adapter literally don't fit the plate that is required to mount the cab. This can is not even successfully universal within Ariens models, and obviously the QC is crap. Sincerely, someone trying unsuccessfully to use this thing during windy weather before the next dump of snow without being utterly frozen solid.

Adequate, with modification
I was disappointed with this cab. It has only two attachment points to the machine, which proved to be inadequate once it was subjected to the vibrations from machine operation and to the wind. The cab would tip down onto the operator. I fortified the mounting with braces made from metal electrical conduit, attached with worm gear clamps, to alleviate that problem. Another issue with this cab is that the way the front is sloped allows snow to collect on it, blocking front vision, at least, for a tall operator. The cab provides access to the chute crank that is in front of the handlebars on many Ariens models and it has been adequate, once modified with additional bracing, but I cannot be at all enthusiastic about it.

Poor design of the Snow Blower Cab
I purchased the Ariens Deluxe Snow Thrower last year (2021). I had a difficult time keeping the cab down when the wind came from my back. Also there is too much open space between the controls and blower motor. A strong wind will blow snow into my face. I have an Ariens Professional blower at the farm and the cab is much better (About 3 years old). I didn't have any of the above issues and don't have to redesign the cab as I have done to the blower I purchased in 2021.

Good concept, poor execution.
The cab attaches by two clamps that fit on a round bar at the very front with the entire weight toward the rear. Any vibration (such as blowing snow) causes the clamps to slip and the cab to drop on your head. If there is no wind, blower engine exhaust tends to collect in the cab. Luckily, it's not too hard to jury rig a support the weight that supports more to the back, and it's not too hard to take the cab off and only use it when weather conditions make it necessary.

Nice product for preventing the "snow monster" look.
Took a bit to figure out the assembly and adjustment (e.g. brackets holding horizontal cross brace at bottom of windscreen MUST be all the way to edge else the center rod will rotate) but, once in place, it has been QUITE nice to do the neighborhood (a lot of elderly in my area who can not shovel snow... so I do a lot of houses an driveways) without coming back home looking like Yeti. Also since it keeps me out of the wind I stay warmer. Visibility through the plastic is much better than I thought it would be. The ONE improvement I would suggest is a "quick release" to allow removal when not needed (I am thinking how I could modify mine), but that is a nit only. I also added bungees to hold cab out near the handle to help support. Pretty happy overall.
