Wish we had purchased this years ago!
Looks great and performs flawlessly. We keep discovering new benefits to instant 200 degree water each day. Used a plumber to install and glad we did as he needed to head out mid-install to purchase something to make our particular situation work. Glad that i did not attempt the install on my own

You have to buy the entire dispenser package in order to replace just the sink-top fixture!
The sink-top fixture failed just after the warranty expired, about 5 years of operation. All I needed was a replacement counter-top fixture. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find that on their web site. Their fixtures that were approximately the same design cost more than replacing the entire unit. I ended up replacing the entire unit to avoid redoing the plumbing. I would not recommend this company because of their price gauging approach!

Better engineering than the last version
This facuet replaced the same one which was installed 2.5 years ago and which broke. Specifically, the handle broke off when I went to dispense hot water, resulting in water gushing out of the faucet until I went below the sink to turn off the supply line. Very frustrating. Luckily it was under warranty still. The new version of this faucet has been much better engineered. You can tell they changed how the handle functions when depressed. Very happy with the product and glad Insinkerator honored their warranty and replaced the defective faucet at no cost.

Problem right off the get-go
The plumber was all done with the installation under the sink. Turned on the water for the tank to fill. He then pressed the little handle back to dispense the water and the little handle completely fell off right in his hand. Are you kidding me?????
The screw to put the handle back on was SO SO tiny that the plumber didn't even have a screwdriver small enough. Now what do we do???? Luckily, for some odd reason, we found a screwdriver small enough among my husband's tools.
Now I only hope the handle stays on. Can't get any water without the handle.
It also squeals when I release the handle.
This is my third unit of this type and have never had a problem before.

How I feel about the Insinkerator Hot Water Dispenser I bought
It works as advertised and as well as its predecessor that was 15 years old and was replaced only to avoid going without it when it died.

Looks, works and use are great!
We wanted a compact, safe and not too easy to turn on (by mistake) unit to replace our 25+ year Kitchenaid unit which no longer got hot enough to brew tea nor heat up some packaged dry soups. Many worked easier with levers, but as it was very close to our dish drain basket did not want to inadvertently turn it on and burn oneself. Installation by a plumber was easy except the water reservoir was larger than our older unit. Our osmotic filter provides water free of any impurities or unusual taste e.g. chlorine. We were able to set the temperature to 185 degrees which matched the type of green tea we use. If you have arthritic hands, you might do better, but risk turning on unit unintentionally with a lever operated unit. Excellent so far ( only 1 month old). Chrome finish with black plastic looks great matched with our Franke sink and faucets. Highly recommended. Note plumber’s price was ~ $50 than purchasing on line.
