has some design flaws
just took delivery and havent cut with it yet. but at 1st glance, the handles were not aligned. one hanle is an inch further forward than the other. the adjustment on these is easy, but terrible at the same time. they have easy to use hand knobs, but also have tooth shaped notches. i move the one handle back one notch, and instead of it being an inch further forward than the other handle, its now an inch behind the other handle. the armrest are useless. alot of people like to tighten them in a further upward position to rest their elbows on while they just use their wrists to steer. these armrest sit too low to even use at all and they are not adjustable. lastly, it does not track straight unless one handle is pushed further than the other. i havent even cut with it yet, and im already thinking about sending it back

First time review Ikon 52
I had a competitor zero turn before buying the IKON 52. The other zero turn had an articulating or moveable front end with front wheels following the landscape. Traction was not an issue and all 4 wheels stayed on the lawn and my landscape is all about bumps and hills. The engineers for Ariens dropped the ball on their creation and never tested their zero turn on real world lawn care. I have 4 acres of lawn to cut and its not flat! With all 4 corners of the zero turn being fixed points, there is no give and traction is lost at some point. The zero turn is not balanced as one wheel spins and not moving either left or right. I am not happy with this purchase at all and would not recomend it to anybody. I really can't say anything about the cutting or craftmanship of the unit but I seriously think they should try the mowers before selling them.I bought Ariens zero turn because I have a snowblower from them and can't say anything negative about it. It is a bullet proof machine. Throws snow like no other units out there. Seriously thinking of cutting my loss and getting my old one back. I was contemplating on buying front wheels with springs, but they don't offer them either. Very frustrated to say the least.

Belt Issues
2.8 hours on my Ikon 52 and broke the deck belt. Pretty disappointed with how quickly it failed especially for a 4K dollar machine.

Great At First Now a Disappointment
I have owned this and loved it for about 4 months. It cuts great and handles my 2.5 acres with ease. I loved it so much I ended up ordering all the attachments. However in the last 4 weeks I have had nothing but issues. One night while mowing late realized NEITHER headlight works. Had a small engine and electrical person take a quick look and stated that wiring all the way to headlight unit was good and that factory headlights bad. Then today at 21.7 hours after just finishing the lawn the deck belt snapped. Initially loved it but now starting to regret spending what I did on this. Spent over 900 in attachments. Now spending a lot more on belts so soon and trying to figure out a headlight solution for something that is less than 6 years old and thousands of dollars.

Built to last
The 2023 Ikon is built to last a lifetime. I found no shortcuts taken on my unit. It is smooth to operate and easy to maneuver. Comfortable to ride on. The USB charger outlets in the storage area are a stroke of simple genius. I've never been more excited to mow my lawn!!

Outstanding Value! Outstanding Results!
I love the Ikon XD 52 inch! Great machine! paired with the high-powered Kawasaki commercial engine, you cannot beat this combination. I added the mulch kit which unlike most other brands, works with the blades that come on the mower, and it only takes a few minutes to easily install. That's the way it should be! Also added the rubber floor mat and the trailer hitch. Now I am decked out and ready to rock! I have mowed a few times, and wish my grass would grow quicker so I could get back out there!! Smooth, precise steering and very comfortable ride. But the result is amazing. Nice and even cut. Other reviewers mentioned that this mower has everything you need and want, and none of the things you don't. I have to agree. I love the adjustable seat and the adjustable control bars. Makes it easy to customize your riding experience. The only request I have is I wish the fuel filler was easier to use with the newer gas cans. It works great if you have the flex spout type gas can, but if you have one of the Scepter cans with the rigid spout that you have to squeeze, push, pull and tip, it is difficult to fill the fuel tank. Even better, make it to where you can set the fuel can on the fender and the rigid spout can go right into the filler neck.

Love my mower
This is my first Ariens zero turn mower. I love the ease of operation. The engine has great power. The ease of adjusting the deck is awesome. The mowing quality is really nice. I highly recommend Ariens to anyone.

So Far So Good
I just put one hour on it and it simply cuts the grass. I owned a 2002 Gravely and the left hydro gear finally went out, tried to repair it but it wasn’t having it. So I went with the 52” Icon. It is definitely slick and has some good features that my older one didn’t have, lights, a nice seat, adjustable steering for my big belly. The only con I have had so far is when I washed it and put it up to bed, when I was getting on, I slipped on the feet shelf thing, I will see if they make some sort of rubber platform for that. All in all, good machine, cuts grass
