Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did what it's suppose to 48" x 20" Works like it's suppose to. I used with the Single LED Light Glow'n Grow Light Garden Cart. I had to use cardboard under it so it would be flushed since the cart has a gap for the trays. I had 98% germination my 1st time starting seedlings. I bought 2 more of the 48" x 20" for my double decker cart.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Probably doing something wrong Sadly I didn't get much success with this. It is not any difference then when I didn't have a heat mat. I am probably doing something incorrectly. I find covering the seedlings and placing them close to the radiator does just about same if not better. Next sets of seeds I will do an experiment. Because it is not working I find it pricey.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchased years ago, still working This little gentle waterproof heating pad does wonders to improve germination and start seedlings, especially indoors under growing lights. Also works well to start dahlias, begonias and other “bulbs” that prefer warmer conditions.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Working but overpriced These mats are working, we’ve got some seedlings starting. But the price is quite high compared to similar products with great ratings on other sites.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly Recommend! I bought two of these and only half of my seedling starting trays fit on top of them. There was a huge difference in the trays on the heat mat vs. not. They grew much better and were much less prone to root rot. I will be buying two more next year, highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great investment For ends that don’t heat evenly I put a piece of metal flashing on top of the pad. Problem solved. I bought a 5’ section for about $6 at Menards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job. Item as described. Does a good job keeping my seedlings warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I put it right to the test I am using my heat mat with a Burpee self-watering seed starting system right now. I also got the matching thermostat. The system easily keeps the soil medium 10-12 degrees above room temperature. I had some fears of having a heat pad running unattended but it never gets hot, only what I would call very warm to the touch. And it doesn't take much power. It's also quite substancial. You'd have to be very careless to damage it. My seeds germinated in from 2 (Yes!) to 5 days. One caveat. I periodicaly point a very small fan in the plants' direction to ward off "damping off". The soil will cool down significantly while the fan is on but recovers quickly when it is shut off. So far I am very pleased.
