Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy installation / quiet belt drive [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The installation of both the opener and wifi set up was super easy. I was able to control opener remotely within minutes of installing My Q app. Love the LED light being super bright and turning on with motion activity. Belt drive is super quiet which is expected.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good soft-close door opener [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall i really like this opener. It is very quiet, and the slow start and gentle finish features add to its appeal. I like the motion sensor on the wall switch, which makes it so i dont have to turn on other lights when I go to my car. Installation was relatively easy, and I would have given it five stars, except when i first plugged it in, nothing happened. I contacted Chamberlain tech support and, when i finally connected with the correct technician for this opener, they walked me through the process of troubleshooting it. Unfortunately, a wire connection, a simple spade terminal, had come loose during shipping. When I reconnected the wire to the terminal, the opener worked flawlessly. I ended up having to squeeze the connected wire's terminal to make sure it would stay. Another thing I really like about the opener is the bright LED light, but I do think it would be better if it had lights on both ends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great unit [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced an existing garage door opener, this was an easy install for someone with some skill. This is a much quiter unit with the belt drive compared to my old chain drive unit. Thd LED light and Wifi makes this a great unit

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Led brighter then expected, easy to install. Having trouble with MyQ but that could be internet issues since the recent storms. Like the fact that it comes with a key pad and more then one remote. Strange shape but custom to the older designs with the plastic cover for the bulbs, quieter then my previous belt drive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This opener was a great choice. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As soon as I received my new garage door opener I began assembling and installing the new opener. It took approximately three hours. The track snaps together easily without tools. The most time consuming part for me was running the wires for the safety beam. I don't know how I did it but when I snapped the beams onto the track they were lined up, first try. The quietness of the opener is amazing. I have living space above the garage so that is a definite plus. The opener has a feature where travel begins slowly and just before it closes it slows again for the last five or six inches. It closes against the floor so gently, it has to help longevity of all moving parts involved. At this point I am very happy with my choice for this opener. So far, no negatives. I have always been happy with my Chamberlain products.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LED garage door opener with WIFI [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was impressed with how bright the light is on this. The only problem is that it only lights up half the garage. There are some pros and cons to this opener. The pros, if you already have a garage door opener installing this one in place of old one is easy. Connecting to the WIFI is also easily done using this app. The light is very bright. The motor and belt make garage open and closing very quite. The motor is 3/4 hp plenty to open the door. The lights are also motion activated if you want it to be. The cons, if you don't have a garage door opener it will take more time than replacing one. The light only lights up half the garage. There is no option for the opener to run on battery backup if power is out. Really that was the only down sides I found with this opener. If your not worried about getting out or into garage if power goes out and you have other lighting in the garage then this should work just fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding new innovation from Chamberlain!! A++ [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] BEST Opener I've ever had...I’ve already recommended it to my brother who has an opener that’s on its last legs. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, especially with the new BILT 3D instructions available using the provided 2D bar code access. Best to have help, but was still safe and easy enough to install and set up by myself. I was able to follow the directions to use supports such as a step ladder to hold the opener motor unit in place while setting up proper final installation position. Installing in a garage after removing an older door opener made it even easier, especially with mounting brackets and all wiring ready to go! Even the Door Control Panel mounting screw positions matched up, and no new drilling or wall anchors were needed. Same with the old keypad remote… Can’t hate that. I like the integrated MyQ functionality eliminating the need for a MyQ hub I’ve had for use with other brand openers. It’s easy to forget pressing a remote control button to close the door that you think of a few blocks or even miles later, and with the ability to remotely check the status and safely command the door down if needed from your phone, it’s a true piece of mind feature! Integrating my existing garage camera was also very easy. One of my favorite features beyond the quiet, elegant operation is the dampening slower movement of the door as it reaches the end of travel. That is really cool. I’ve always had openers that hit the ground fairly hard and you can see the force push up the opener track a bit. It was also extremely easy to adjust the door end of travel, which I’ve always had trouble getting just right on older openers. The force to close and open is also automatically configured, which was another outstanding new feature! This opener has an attractive design with new LED lighting that is far superior to previous openers I’ve had. Overall it was a great installation replacing an older opener, and I do have some helpful feedback and pictures to share: 1. I could not use the provided door bracket or door arm due to support beam position on the garage door as well as manufacturer recommendation to mount the bracket to the top of the door. However, the existing door bracket and door arm work well with new Chamberlain opener. 2. Did have some minor trouble with determining which safety sensor was the receiver to insure it was not installed in direct sunlight that even tech support was unable to help confirm. Also both sensors were not marked correctly, and one had both labels on it, while the other was unmarked. I pulled the top label off and installed it on what turned out to be the sender. The instructions would be more helpful if they identified which sensor was the receiver so you don't have to switch them later if you guessed wrong... Even BILT did not differentiate, but of course they also mention insuring the receiver is not in direct sunlight. I wouldn’t have had the worst case due to using existing wiring spliced in with wire nuts, but switching sensors where I’d just stapled all the wiring to the walls would be a real pain… 3. The installation went perfect with the safety sensors aligning with no adjustment required; green light came on solid & the only glitch is the instructions which said the amber light in the Door Control Panel would flash; it actually came on solid and has stayed that way. I got lucky in guessing which sensor was the receiver and didn’t have to switch them… 4. I also had a little trouble using the Learn button on the Door Control Panel. The instructions indicate the Learn button press will cause the LED to flash once, then flash once after the second press, and then you can press the desired button on a remote, or enter the code on the remote keypad. I had to use the Learn button on the opener motor unit like the previous steps on older units. I was really looking forward to the convenience Chamberlain engineers have designed in the Door Control Panel. I did discover later that it was just the continuously flashing LED that differed from the instructions, and when I ignored the light flashing, I was able to press the button twice as instructed and then program a remote successfully. 5. Programming remote controls has just not worked as well as the rest of the installation. My vehicle built-in remote control button was not able to be programmed using the Chamberlain handheld remote method but it did work using the motor unit Learn button. 6. Step 9 - Installation instructions indicate the Door Control Panel wires can be indiscriminately attached to the Door Control Panel yet Step 10 does discriminate at the opener motor unit. Most notably, the Door Control Panel unit also has clearly marked Red and White terminals same as the Door Opener unit. The BILT video instructions do make it clear wire color does matter on both ends. 7. The Chamberlain manual and BILT video instructions jump from a door in the up position when connecting the Outer Trolley to the Inner Trolley, and then next depict the door in the down position to instruct the installer to command the door to move up for the first time. That added a little confusion but worked out OK. 8. The motion detecting Door Control Panel is only labeled Sensor- On/Off. It would be better to include the word Motion to help the installer/user understand that it is only the motion sensor that is configurable On or Off. However, that is a huge improvement to older units that did not allow the user to turn off motion sensing. 9. MyQ set up worked OK despite the Door Control Panel flashing light issue but failed to set up on the first attempt. When I pulled the power from my existing MyQ hub the retry was successful and I no longer need to use the hub! Nice!! More comprehensive instructions would provide a step to remove accessories from the existing MyQ hub, then power it off before configuring the MyQ feature on the new door opener. Also a step to delete former accessories like a Chamberlain camera from Bluetooth connection in cell phone settings would be helpful. Otherwise the new set up will fail with the recommendation to remove the item from Bluetooth. I didn’t proactively think of Bluetooth settings, and I thought I should leave the old MyQ hub set up without specific instructions to remove it first.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Install not difficult. Featured outstanding [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve installed 2 openers prior and this opener was a fairly easy install. I replaced a genie 0.5hp screw drive with this 0.75hp belt drive and the Ed difference is noticeable. This is my first opener that connects directly to my WiFi and this went seamlessly giving me all the features of my remote sensors without added install. Only thing I miss is nog having a battery backup for power outages. Oh well, maybe next time.
