Rated 1 out of 5 by from buy another brand, save the hassle this is nothing but a rebadged mower that you can get in gas form for 100 from wally world. The paint comes off the bottom after one mow, it hoards every clipping underneath the deck until it physically stops the blade. The cheap mower stamped deck is so paper thin with its plastic axle housings just clipped on that it flexes and bends as you mow. Dewalt was so gracious to upgrade to the twin 10 amp hour battery backs over the previous gen 5.0's, but still provided their lowest level chargers x2. I have so many regrets buying this unit vs. the brand. I guess at least I have 2 10 amp batteries...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed I've had this mower for a while now, year & a half maybe. It doesn't like anything except perfectly flat, dry, manicured grass. Stops at sticks left by the dog, avocados dropped from the tree, lemons that have fallen. Maybe a gopher made a divot, the wheel falls in, & the mower stops. Grass is a little too long, mower stops. Go over the edge of a hill or mound slightly wrong, or too quickly, mower stops. It has a slow start, & then the blade speeds up when it encounters resistance except, it does it too slowly. Anything more than a slow walk will likely create too much resistance before the motor can increase torque, & the motor will then stop. I hate that I have to admit my two brother's Ryobis are better...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely the best I use this to mow 10,000 square feet of lawn (2 miles of walking) in the mulching mode. It is much lighter than a gas powered mower, easier to push. Quiet. I can do the whole lawn with one charge on the batteries, unless the grass is wet and very long - then when the first batteries die, I insert two smaller DeWalt batteries from my hand tools and finish. height adjustment is very easy and fast. it mulches to very fine clippings that cannot be seen. The height adjustment on the handle is nice. The rubber grass deflector on the back simply folds under when pulling backwards, then folds out when going forward - very nice. My yard is not level, having a few slopes, and this is easy to use on slopes. This is the best mower!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Mower will not stay on Mower dies after a minute running. Battery are fully charged. Blade turns freely. Cleaned everything. Not Happy at all too expensive not to work

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for the Long Haul I bought this mower at a big box home improvement store in November 2021 and it quit working two weeks ago. The batteries are fully charged but the batteries will not register on the mower's battery meter. The big box store does not service this brand (employee told me I should have bought a different brand that they do service). The mower could not cut heavy grass and would constantly stop if the grass was thick. The quality of the cutting blade was disappointing and was never as good as a cheap gas mower. The electric motor quit on a warm summer day and apparently will never run again. Had for less than a year and now I have a very expensive lawn art that is not repairable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Mediocre Bought this to go with the rest of my collection or Dewalt tools and replace my gas mower. The thing I like about it - Easy to start and restart. Easy to use mulch. Dislike - If you are not mulching the mower does not have power to send grass into the bag - Bag only fills up 1/3. If your grass it more than 2 inches in height better clear your day as the mower will stop trying to cut this length. Batteries get pretty warm too - be careful.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Battery Is Dead The dcmwp233 mower came with two batteries. I have cut my grass about 20 times. It is a very small yard and only takes about 20 minutes. However, now one of the batteries wont even take a charge.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very unusual for DeWalt Purchased this mower in 06/21 and it ran great for a year - if you wanted to cut the grass while running, you could do it. Then, like mentioned in many other reviews here, it started losing power and halting in the middle of not-so-thick and not-so-tall grass. I sent it in for repair and received a replacement. The replacement I received had all stickers either put on wrong or falling off - it just looked like a poorly refurbished unit. It vibrates more than my old unit I sent back and it has the exact same problem - just quits in the middle of the job. I can't mow more than 50% of the deck width because the motor just shuts down. While I have dozens of DeWalt tools, DeWalt really should understand that we have many good choices out there. To receive a "new replacement" and have it be broken in the same way is unacceptable.
