Not last long
The pot is good when it is working, The old one was broken after three years, and I bought this one last May, it started to have steam leaking from steam release handle a few month ago. It is getting worse now. Very frustrating.

I never realized how much time I was spending in the kitchen, babysitting a conventional dish in a conventional cooking method. My order of operations for making a rack of ribs used to be (1) defrost in the morning (2) sear the ribs during my lunch hour (3) and then simmer them for 2.5 hours (4) finish them in the oven with barbecue sauce. My Instant Pot version of that order of operations is (*1) defrost (*2) curl them up all cozy inside my IP after dry rubbing them, pressure cook for about 20 minutes and natural release, (*3) oven finish with barbecue sauce. It's less than 2 hours start to finish rather than 4+. Comes out perfect, using way less barbecue sauce, way less time, cleanup is easy, and I can go do other stuff I enjoy like smooching my love or playing outside. Ribs is just one thing--so far it's saved me time on bolognese, corn grits for breakfast, soups, pulled pork. I've had this for a few weeks and so far, I've used the pressure cook, bean/grain, sauté, and stock functions (and steam, if you count the start-up procedure). Looking forward to finding new ways to lifehack with this great tool. Feels like a science-fiction space food pod!

My second instant pot. This pot has several more features then the old one. Absolutely love this appliance. Have even made a cheesecake and flan! Customer service from instant pot excellent.

It is the best thing ever!!!
I love cooking now and look for new recepies daily. I used to avoid cooking and hated washing dishes. This stainless steel pot washes so easily w out struggle and I love it. I make curries and all kinds of stuff that make me sound so cool and like a I'm a pro. Everything works perfectly well. Watch the youtube on what makes the burn notice go on and it's not because your pot doesn't work but bc your pot can not be incharged of unburning your food it can only let you know that "you" are burning your food. So I recommend to not just throw whatever w out enough liquids or have stuff burning on the bottom and then put a lid on it.
