Works pretty well

Nifty device

Easy upgrades for older homes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first heard of the Lutron Caseta Smart switch, I loved the concept and knew it would be a perfect fit for my older home. The flow isn’t great and there are a few pass throughs that have light switches at one entry but not the other, forcing you to walk through the dark when trying to turn off lights when heading to the bedrooms. With this product, I can replace the existing switch and mount a remote control that looks like another light switch in a remote location without pulling wire or hiring a costly electrician. Such a simple solution to a frustrating problem. I gave this product 4 starts because it only came with one face plate where I felt that two were needed to provide one for each light switch and I felt the the instructions could have been broken down a bit more simply for amateurs and people with little to no electrical experience

Game-changing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Who would have thought I’d love a light switch so much? I love that I can turn my lights on when I am not home, or set a timer, especially when it’s dark out. The kit includes a remote, or you can pair it with Alexa, which is super simple and consistently reliable. On top of all that, installation was a breeze. Next on my list is replacing all of the light switches in our house with this one!

Great smart switch kit

I like that I can now control my lights in my bedroom. I’m interested in pairing other Caseta smart products with this.

Better for newer homes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] An installation process that should have been closer to 15 minutes, ended up taking my husband nearly an hour due to our older home's ancient wiring. This was no fault of the product but entirely due to our current wiring situation. At the end of the process we had to completely uninstall the Caserta Smart Switch though because the box that contains the smart switch components was too large to fit into the wall with all of the wires. We fought hard for an hour with it and had to reinstall the old switch in the end. I'm sure it would work great in a home with updated wiring, but it couldn't be installed for us.
