Description
Every Jorgensen handscrew we make is crafted to ensure maximum strength and durability. Seasoned, straight-grain hard maple wood jaws marry with cold-drawn steel spindles and nuts with special double-lead threads. Together they create a handscrew clamp that holds tightly over broad areas, providing greater reach and a wider distribution of pressure than other clamps. The angle between the jaws can be adjusted to fit the work, allowing them to hold odd shapes easily. Our handscrew clamps are easy to apply and remove quickly, and provide protection against marring of finished surfaces. Traditional seasoned hardwood handles are designed for comfort now and for years to come.

I only have one Jorgensen Classic Hand Screw but it is my go to tool for clamping small projects and when I need an extra hand when finishing project parts. I use it for both clamping when gluing and for holding pieces so I can work on them with both hands.

Problem Solver
As you can see from my age I’ve been around a while and I have on these clamps for many years. I use them almost on a daily basis for a variety of projects and I am truly amazed at their versatility. They can be used to accomplish things that are out of the box so to speak… They take some time to familiarize with their operation once done though they can’t be beat.

Jorgensen handscrew clamps
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had two sets of these, 8 inch and 12 inch for many years and use them all the time in numerous applications; glue-ups, holding small parts, holding objects in place while screwing. The really are a "third hand." Indispensable.

A Great Clamp
This clamp can hold a lot of various different size pieces of wood together, where a long clamp is needed and a shorter clamps want work. Made out of maple wood, it won't mar the wood. I like the medium size for most projects. It will hold different shapes, while you assemble the project.

Handscrews are my old friends.
I first learned and used hand-screws in Shop class in my High School Years back in the fifties. I do not know if they were Jorgensen 'product, but I believe they were. Since then I have been using them in my home shop and have a collection of a number of old timers as well as some newer ones.
they are perfect for most clamping projects as they do not mar work, and one can put enough pressure simply by turning the screws. Thank you for making a great product.

Great Adjustable Handscrew Clamps
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a pair that I use for when other clamps won't do the job. I find that handscrew clamps great for when you are trying to glue up two things like a tapered board to a flat board. Other clamps tend to slide off the taper. I also like the quality of this pair that I have. I own other brands that are just not made as well and have set them aside unless I really need more than these I own. You get what you pay for so I will be getting more as I have the need.

They're still working great!
I purchased 2 used Handscrews several years ago. they were old when I first got them- my guess is that they are from the 1940's or 1950's at least. I would also guess they were used in a local wood products shop for most of those years. They still work smoothly, clamp securely and they are the first clamp I reach for most of the time. I wish I could find more just like them. I have not purchased new ones because these take care of my woodworking needs. If the new ones are any where near the quality of my old ones, they are worth whatever the current cost is.!

When I started wood working I thought all screw clamps had to be about the same. That is not true. Once I used a Jorgenson I knew this is what I had to have. Now I have a stack of them and have had as many as 10 on a glue up.

Perfect Clamp
I bought this clamp to use with my box joint jig to hold the box sides firmly to the jig when making the cuts. It fits right on top of the jig perfectly and works great. It is very easy to tighten and loosen the clamp in order to move the board along the jig when making the box joint cuts.

Great clamp for woodworkers
The Jorgensen Classic Adjustable Handscrew clamps were the first ones I purchased. I learned about these clamps from an individual who ran a cabinet shop and I've found them to be everything he said they were......very adjustable, very strong and very long life. I have several sizes of these clamps and have found a unique use for each. I highly recommend these clamps.

Invaluable Asset to Any Shop
I learned how to use the classic adjustable handscrew clamp back in high school. I have several sizes available at my shops where I teach Technology Education as well in my home shop. I use these clamps for a multitude of applications including gluing parts and as set-ups on various power tools.

Easy to use and holds tight.

Best Adjustable handscrew clamp I own
I have several different sizes of the Pony/Jorgensen handscrew clamps. I did get a different brand as a gift once. I'll never buy another brand again. The "other" brand broke within a year. Yours are still as good as they were 30 years ago when I bought my first one.
