Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have been using this brand for a while and I am happy with it. It is the perfect size for what I need it

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It runs well. The blades are sharp and easy to install and clean. It is very loud but I am only using it for short periods of time so that is not a huge deal. I had a previous model of this for 30 years. It was a bit easier to put together, a little smaller, and quieter. For this price, this is a good choice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One of the better, lower cost processors I've had my processor going on 6 years. The plastic has not yellowed, scratched, cracked, or chipped. The base has not had any problems with speed or slowing down. I only have 2 problems with this processor. 1. There is no mixing/whipping blade you can buy for this. 2. The chopper blade base is plastic and gets cracks in it where the blade meets the plastic base. And so far, I have yet to find a new replacement chopper blade I can it seems it's cheaper to just buy another new processor, which is ignorant. Although I love this processor, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone because of these two problems.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from extremely unhappy with product!!!!! I bought this a couple of years ago and could not assemble it to work at the time. Put it away because I did not have time to deal with it (a mom of 6 who works full time). Recently tried to get it to work again and still cannot put it together to work. The chopping spindle will not go down all the way and so I cannot close the lid. I have had other food processors before that were not so difficult. Ready to throw it out/just collecting dust & wasting space. I guess I will have to buy one from a competitor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So loud can't hear Bought this food possessor about 4 months ago and the first thing you notice is how loud it is. It has this LOUD high pitched sound it makes every time you use it, you can't even hear anything talking next to you and after you turn it off your ears are ringing. Wish I would have never bought this brand.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Blade runs too fast for decent slicing I bought this machine mainly to slice veggies. The blade spins like a tornado, way too fast. I tried carrots and ended up with partially shredded slices in different thickness. Not very appealing. This machine definitely needs different speed settings. If you look for a food processor to mainly chop food or to purée food, this might be a good machine for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good for the money I bought mine in 2011. Used it much less than I used to but it still works well. I just bought a new model that dices. Wish I could have found a dicing attachment for this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for shredding onion I use the slice blade to shred onion. It is perfect and stops my tears

Rated 1 out of 5 by from pain to clean if you don't have a dishwasher the cup of this thing is impossible to clean. food gets stuck in the minute spaces where the slicer attaches. there is nothing small enough to stick down there and using the spray on the sink has taken up to a half hour to dislodge the food. very aggravating.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Blade broke and hex shaped shaft rounded off I received my FP1600B as a gift. I have used it 3 times. On the 3rd use ( on carrots ) the shaft rounded off and the metal of the shredding disc deformed. It was working great up until then.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Replacement parts cost as much as the processor Loved it at first. However, after a few uses the slicer/shredder stripped to where it won't turn. Looked into buying a replacement, and it cost as much as a new processor. I may do more research and buy a different brand next time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product but the bowl cracked I got this gift for Christmas and lately have been having a blast shredding zucchini for zucchini bread. Last night the bowl cracked and the middle stem snapped in half. I was all ready to make another batch of zucchini bread too. My coworkers will be disappointed.. I would love to be able to buy the replacement parts but through my limited research it seems that it would cost more than just buying a brand new food processor, which is very unfortunate.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Shredder blade broke The shredder blade broke after only a few uses! Very disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Used once before it broke I was excited to open this for as a gift that I've been wanting for my raw diet. I used it once, before the lock on the bowl snapped off. Without the locking price, I can't use it at all. I've tried to find a replacement bowl with no luck. I can't exchange it, since it was a gift. I couldn't give it a higher rating since I was only able to use it once.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would not recommend I bought this a year ago maybe used it 5 times max and the shredder part broke which then screwed up the lid it all connects into it . Replacement part are just as much mad buying a new one .. Not impressed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from After cutting veggies with a knife for years! This is great for what I need it for. The bottom part shreds tuna, chicken, and steak for sandwiches or bbq and the top is great at strips or slices. It would be nice with more blades, but after slicing thin potatoes for years, I just turned 20 minutes of painful slicing into 5 seconds of amazement. I love how it grates cheese, makes hashbrowns, etc etc. It was a present for Mother's Day. Thank you kiddo <3 <3 <3

Rated 2 out of 5 by from SLICER SHREDDER BLADE BROKE I bought this less than a year ago and the center support that holds the slicer/shredder blade in place snapped. It no longer balances in the food processor. When you try to use it it tips to the side and does not shred or slice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from love the features bought it cause I needed one for Christmas stuff I was making

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Control Buttons I just bought this today. The Stop/Pulse button does not work! the minute I lock the lid in place, the machine starts and I cannot make it stop by pressing the stop button-- had to unplug! Could not control the pulse at all. I am returning it to the store tomorrow!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I use it all the time! I love this food processor! It works great and I use it ALL the time. It is very easy to clean. I have used it so much that my slicing and shredding blade finally broke. But like I said I use it all the time, so I'm not surprised at all.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Broke Used 5 times then broke. There was nothing 'foreign' lodged. It sliced threw about 5 spins of an onion then I heard a grinding noise. It was locked properly I place.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money I could not get my lid to lock into place to be able to start the processor. We had two people trying to force it into the lock position. I have talked to a few others who had this item and they all had problems too. I will be returning it to the store tomorrow. DO NOT buy this item.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Works okay, but is too loud It does the job it is supposed to do, but, we have to leave the room when it is on because it is way too loud.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Food bowl broke after only one year I'm disgusted. I've wasted so much time searching for replacement parts for this food processor since the bowl and "spindle" (that holds the shredding and grating plate) broke the other day.
Date published: 2012-08-12
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lid sticks I have only used this food processor twice and the lid sticks terribly. It fits so tightly I cannot get it to slide into the lock position, which means I can't use the processor. When I got it in a headlock and forced it over to the lock position, it was just as hard to get it back out. Now I have a work bowl full of processed food and I am trying not to explode everything all over my kitchen.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Will not work I recently purchased this food processor and it would not work out of the box. I am extremely disappointed in the instructions that came with it as well. They offer no solution to this problem. My advice is save your money for something nicer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money Blade come out of chopping blade. Replacement blade is 2/3 the cost of food processor...No more B & D for me...
Date published: 2012-04-11
Rated 4 out of 5 by from great value for the price I bought this to make hummus. It was able to make a very smooth dip. I also have sliced onions and cabbage with it already. I am happy with the way it works. It is easy to assemble and disassemble. I can hand wash it easily. I wish I could get a blade that would slice a little thicker--then it would be perfect!
