Wet snow…
This is my 5th winter with this blower. It worked great the first two winters. I’ve had it serviced every year and always maintain my equipment. The machine does great with powder and light-medium weight snow. Like other reviews have stated it struggles with any amount of wet or heavy - it just doesn’t move it. Last winter we had nothing but wet snow and I used it for one storm and shoveled the rest. I’m not entirely sure why, but it just can’t get the snow up to the augur. I am selling it and upgrading to a larger machine.

If Only It Would Blow Wet Snow!
We bought the compact model a few years ago. The snow blower has a lot of nice features and it works OK on dry snow. Unfortunately, we live in an area where the snow is usually wet and heavy and the machine just isn't up to the task. Instead of pulling the wet snow in, it pushes it forward until the pile is so heavy that it can't push it any further. On wet snow, it's a better plow than a blower. The auger is fine and the shear bolts are intact. Snow that reaches the auger gets blown, but that's rare. I've adjusted the blade height from all the way down to all the way up and back again. It makes no difference. Love the way it starts every time, though.
