Get outside and enjoy your lawn with Scotts® Turf Builder® Rapid Grass Sun & Shade Mix®. Your new or existing lawn will benefit from extended feeding with this unique mix of fertilizer and grass seed, resulting in full, green grass in just weeks. Compared to seed alone, your lawn will grow 2x faster (when applied at the new lawn rate, subject to proper care). Apply in the spring or fall when temperatures are between 60 degree F and 80 degree F and after any chance of frost. Rake the top layer of soil before applying with a Scotts® spreader. For best results, water twice daily for at least 3 weeks. Do not use weed control products until your lawn has been established (mowed at least 4 times). If you already applied weed control, please see those package directions on when to plant grass seed. Finally, apply Scotts® Lawn Food products every 8 weeks throughout the season to help maintain your thick, green lawn.

Fine with one problem
I have been using your products for years . Always with great results. This time when I planted this type grass it came up beautiful as usual. However it was full of weeds the 5 or 6 places I planted the grass seed the weeds came up. The weeds looked like clover but was weed. any ideas I also planted a bag of your competitors grass seed same king and yours germinated a lot better and came up a lot quicker. Just the weeds they look like they are taking over Ayn thoughts to why it has never happened before. Thanks Richard Case

Highly recommend!
We used Scott’s Rapid 2X seed and 3 weeks we went from dirt to a full yard. We also used a soil conditioner called Soil Hume, weed killer meant for new seedlings called Tenacity, and Pete moss. We watered every day. Amazing results!

Unbelievable!!!!
To all the complainers, we planted this last saturday afternoon on surface, did NOT rake in, watered with sprinkler system for 1 hour initially, then twice a day thereafter for 30 minutes each time. This morning, 4 1/2 days later, we have small new grass 1/2 inch tall everywhere. Unbelievable results!!!!

Avoid at all cost
This seed is garbage. I had roughly 800 square feet of areea to grow grass. Applied Easy Seed to 1/2 half of and rapid grow to the rest. Easy seed came in quickly and established itself well. It has been 10 days and the rapid seed has yet to germinate. Avoid this product at all cost.

Fantastic. Way beyond my expectations
My lawn was brown and spotted with bare spots. Three weeks later and it is vibrant green, thick and most bare spots filled in. I examined where it hadn’t grown well and realized my raking had not been enough to remove residual leaf mulch. It seems like good raking is critical. Also I chose to plant just before an extended period of rain and in the few days it didn’t rain twice I also watered. So good raking and lots of water with not much sun in the first week. Worked great. I’m usually pretty good at killing plants so this is a notable exception

I bought this seed and it was probably the worst investment I ever made. Watered every morning and evening some came up but most didn’t. Reseeded and still nothing. Looked at expiration date and it was supposedly still good!!! Never will by this one again and still have pretty much a full bag!!!

Grass and weeds in a bag!
When properly applied and cared for, it will grow grass. But it will also grow weeds. My plan is to treat the new grass with weed killer after another month or so. It's been 2 months since I seeded.
