Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy this product. Purchased on 7/30/2022 from our local hardware store. Engine started but ran very rough and would not come to full power. Even the idle was rough. I was using new fuel with proper 40:1 gas/oil mix. The other problem was the cutting head was not turning. Re-assembled the shaft/cutting head to the engine/shaft several times but the cutting head would not engage. Returned for refund on 7/30/2022 a couple hours after purchase. Troy brand name used to be associated with quality; not so much now I conclude.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needs Stronger String Line [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This trimmer is a great product for keeping my yard looking professional. It is easy to control, light weight, and a great quality product for the money. However, I gave 4 stars because the string kept breaking and it is the heaviest/strongest that can be used. Other than the string, it is a great product, even my wife can use it. CLS

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TB-22 curved shaft trimmer This is the second one that I have owned and I have several of the attachments. Starts easy and does the job. I also own a self propelled lawnmower, I am very happy with Troy-Bilt.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TB22 We have to buy a new one about every 4 years. We have all the attachments but the engine will not start. Changed the spark plug and that did not help. We are going to have to change brands and get attachments to fit it and leave Troybuilt behind because they are junk.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ease=5; Quality=3 [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Because I am deeply invested and have five different attachments, I will continue to purchase the TB head. I am having issues with them only lasting a couple of years and would love to see a good quality battery powered head available in the near future. Overall, I like the ease of switching from weedeater to edger to blower each week I do yard work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from When pulling to start a piece fell out. Had the trimmer for about a year. Never started smoothly. I went and bought the piece you hook with the drill to help start it and that only worked once for me. The trimmer is terrible all around. I would not recommend this to anyone. Unfortunately I bought the edger attachment which works great so i have to now find a trimmer that will work with that attachment

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does it's job when it's not running idle wild. This trimmer isn't that old but except for the fact it's a little short for me, but I could've swapped out the trimmer head from the tb32. The final decider was the trimmer all of a sudden started running wild. I replaced carberators, insulator blocks, adjusted the high idle mixture screw to completely closed and it still ran wild o the Idle. I saw the exhaust cover has an O ring around a kind of plug that goes into the back of the engine. I thought I'll get a new one, I've replaced everything else. Well I found a good used one. No bad wear signs. I put it on and low and behold it idled correctly. Now it started it doing it again and is currently at a repair shop. So from my perspective, it's something going on with the engine , I believe , that is causing the exhaust cover to go bad. When it isn't sealed, it is able to suck in more air therefor burn the gas hotter and draw in fuel more quickly. This is why it gets 3 stars. I'd actually like to give 2 stars but eh!.
