Great product but use heavier wire
I have been using PetSafe for at least 15 years. I wired a half acre lot and I just open the door and out my 2 dogs go and I know they are safe. We live in the middle of Dallas.
I really like how it has worked over the years except.....
Using the 16 ga. wire supplied, I used to get failure in the system. The receiver box would be beeping and not working. I would have to rewire sections of the wire for it to again work properly. This happened 5 or 6 times until I rewired the whole yard perimeter with 14 ga. wire. The system has never gone down since I did this 6 or 7 years ago. I give this a 5 star rating using 14 ga. wire.

Collar battery is NOT REPLACEABLE
I bought the system for 3/4 acre and all of tge sudden my dog starting running through it. We live by a very busy road so this is always pretty scary. She is part plott hound so she always gets on a scent and is gone for hours. I also prefer to use things as long as possible it seems very wasteful to have to buy an entirely new collar every couple years. I would encourage your design team to figure out a way to do this. Since i need to get a new collar anyway, i plan on taking a hammer to this one and see if i can 3D print a similar case and replace the battery myself. I like the system, i just didn't think i would have to keep buying new collars!

it's a great product, extremely adjustable. the only downside is the battery stopped charging after about 4 years and there's no information on where I can purchase a new battery.

Highly recommend
We have had our system for 5yrs and we love it!
We started with 2 dogs and now have 4.
We know our pets are safe when we let them outside.
We had an issue with one of the collars, we called customer service and they helped us reprogram it within minutes.

It is ok for smaller range requirements.
It works, but with limited range. I have it set to "8" and my dog can't go to the limits I want him to. He needs another 30 feet.

I love Petsafe containment fence. Ive used the Petsafe system over 10 years on 6 dogs from 10 to 100 lbs. Each with their own temperment which is why different levels of shock and beep is essential. My first system after 9 years was still going strong. At 9 years, I did upgrade with a rechargable collar for my convenience. I would not have a dog without this system. My dogs are not shocked. After initial training period of 3 days, every dog has stayed in my "fence" area without fail responding to beep only. I just cant say enough of how wonderful peace of mind i have with my dogs using this system.

saved me and my cats
Cannot tell you all the angst i felt when my kitties were being blamed for everything that non-fixed strays were doing in the neighborhood. I even had a visit from Animal Control who told me to keep them in the house.This would be impossible as they are used to the sunshine and fresh air and occasional mouse hunt. To make a long story short, they took to the collars better then I thought. I made extra markers around the perimeter with yarn just to be sure because after all they are cats. IT WORKED and i got to keep my cats.. "Crazy Cat Lady"

wont hold a charge
had it a couple of months and the collar will not hold a charge and i cant afford or should have to buy a new collar already dog dissapeared for hours and i was very upset im a disabled combat vet and dont need that kind of problems onto of my severe ptsd

Good product
The only reason this doesn't get a 5 star review is that one of the two collars we initially got did not tone. We called the company who were very friendly and helpful and after trying a few troubleshooting ideas sent us a new collar which did work.

Highly recommended and effective.
The training, and written guidance and ease of use with the Stay and Play Rechargeable Fence for my two English Setter puppies was awesome and a blessing. I put up flags and guided each pup to the flags and when thy heard the beep we turned back and they were rewarded. Then on their own with the setting set st the second level of correction they discovered, in a gentle way, to stay in their area of play. It is a wonderful product that is well made and much cheaper than the underground system that I had at my old house. This system gives my wife and I peace and freedom and the dogs a well defined safe area to play for years to come. I have owned this system for four years and just recently added a second collar.

Couldn't Be Happier!
We bought three stay + play units 4 years ago (we live on 7 acres) and two collars. One of the collars just now broke (side plastic piece that the strap goes through). Otherwise, they are all still running great and working the way they are supposed to. We love the peace of mind in knowing our dogs will always be home when we get here.

Random shocks to dog
I bought a replacement collar after 3 years always loved product. I have had the new collar for 3 months and now my dog is getting randomly shocked in the house and outside even when he is no where near boundary.

Collar won’t charge
I purchased the stay + play system along with an extra collar for my 2 dogs. We are about 2 months in and went to charge the collars for only the 3rd time and one of the collars won’t charge. When plugged in nothing happens. Other collar is charging fine. Not sure what to do.

Why !!
I got my dog this collar a month or 2 ago and it’s been beep since and it’s changed and everything but its Been beeps a lot more and today it’s been shocking my dog in side and it shouldn’t be doing that!!! I will not put it back on her.....

Life savers!
We have been using the Stay+Play system for eight months. We changed from the wired system to the Stay+Play when we moved to our new house. I wish we had this years ago! We just adopted our third dog and got a collar for him too! The rechargeable feature is a lifesaver. We may be picking up our fourth dog this week (a five pound female Yorkie) and she is at the lower weight limit for the collar. We'll see how she does. Our largest dog is twenty pounds (and he is also the most stubborn) with very course hair. The longer prongs were needed for him. Two thumbs up to Pet Safe for a great product.

Wonderful!
I have a Jack Russell who loves to run off, I was skeptical at first, but the first time she got shocked, she hasn't tested the boundaries again. It has been wonderful not having to worry she's going to get on the highway! I considered getting them a little kiddy pool to play in but wasn't sure how that would affect the collar, any suggestions?

Love the system but collar needs to be replaced after only a year
The wireless system is great for our yard and two 60+ pound dogs but like others, I now have to replace one of the collars. I find it odd that one collar is still working and the other is absolutely dead. Same wear and battery charging. And no, I dont charge the battery every night, only when light indicates it needs it.

Collar itself
The receiver has worked fine for me and did it's job. The collar for the receiver on the other hand was destroyed by my two dogs playing within 3 weeks of having it. So now I have a receiver with no collar and a dog that runs out of my yard. I would just suggest making the clasp out of metal instead of plastic, that would solve my issue. I haven't had it long enough to experience the charging issues everyone else is having though.

Love it
We bought our wireless fencing system and extra receiver to extend the area when we got our new lab puppy 2 years ago. The system has been amazing. We live in the country and had previous dogs that would run away when not being watched. With this wireless fence we have never had to worry. We have even taken it to our dog sitters house to use.
Unfortunately we have lost the rubber cover on our rechargeable collar and I am concerned that it is no longer water proof. I haven't been able to find the replacement part yet for it and hope that i don't have to replace the entire collar.
We recharge the collar every 2-3 weeks or so and otherwise it is maintenance free.

Love System
We have had this system for almost 2 years! We love it still using original collar. We use this everyday. When we travel we even take the whole system with us so when there is no fence around the yard she can still have freedom to run! It was easy to train her and sometimes I think she knows her boundary line without having collar on! We recommend it to all our dog friends!

Stay & Play Nice when they work!
I purchased (3) collars and just over 6 months one has gone bad already. This is going to be an expensive investment to contain my (3) small dogs in the future if the others fail. Hope the one I am about to order lasts longer!
