Replacing originals that came with set
My wife has been upset with originals that came with set as seems every time we go to use them to cut steak we have to sharpen them. They did not keep a sharp edge. These are a replacement to them. These are serrated so she is happy. They are not an exact replacement so I bought 8 to replace all of the originals.

Disappointing purchase!!☹️
These knives were disaapointing in that they do not cleanly cut cooked meat, but instead tear it which is exactly the performance I was hoping to avoid. I consider the cost of my purchase a total loss. Should have gone with what I thought was the less desirable looking but highly rated JA Henkels International 8-piece steak knives.

Solid feeling, nicely balanced steak knives
Very nice steak knives. Good price as well. We had recently purchased a three piece Damen knife set and were obviously pleased with them. Unfortunately the steak knives didn't include the protective covers that the other set did. I contacted the company to see if they were available separately, but they are not. Perhaps that's something Chicago Cutlery could discuss with the Chinese suppliers. Toss in some extra covers with the next shipment. Slightly disappointing, but I am happy with the purchase.
