Larger than I thought

Good and not easily fragile.
I chose this brand because I drop and broke a lot of dishes but this brand is not like others. Of course these white pasta dishes were another good choice for me. Good shape and size.

Makes my meals look fancy!
I love Corelle for its affordability, durability, and light weight. But, these!! These I love for their beauty too. These bowls make my every day meals like pasta, soups and stews look high budget gourmet. I love the wide brim. I have 12, and I still want more.

Too big to pair well with the Vive dinner plate.
Although the design of this rimmed bowl pairs well with the salad and dinner plate in the Vive line, this rimmed bowl is too big (10.25" diameter) to look good with the 10.25" rimmed Vive Dazzling White dinner plate; it overpowers the plate. So it does not work well as a bowl for chili or soup resting on the dinner plate. Also, its use as a serving bowl is not that versatile either, in my opinion . I had wanted to pair it with the dinner plate and so I am disappointed.

Love these!
I got these to replace my terribly chipped , heavy porcelain bistro style dishes. These dishes are gorgeous and compliment my Cherish boutique dinnerware set. I love that large bistro presentation at the table . We eat a lot of pasta and these bowls are perfect! They are so lightweight and stack nicely.

When a plate or regular bowl won't do
I buy Corelle dishes because they are durable, light weight, reasonably priced and best of all, made in the USA. Regular sized bowls are fine for soup or cereal but too small for dinner. Plates obviously are flat and just don't work well for certain meals. These dishes are about the size of a plate, but are shaped like a bowl. They are perfect for salads, stews and noodle dishes. Once you buy these, you will seriously wonder how you ever did without them.

Love these bowls!

Matching Pasta/Salad Bowl
Love this set. Only reason for 4 star rating is because of pricey cost to replace pieces on the Corelle website. Per my other review, which should read due to "chipping" not shipping and breakage I have had to replace several pieces as I like to have a full set of 16 on hand at all times.
