Reliable
I have owned my SOG trident for 10 years.
I am a police officer in South Florida and have used this knife every day.
A true work horse.

Good Value
I have had this knife for about two months. At first the spring assists was too stiff and disappointing, but after use it works pretty well. The safety feature, it a pain as it gets turned on accidently, and takes time to turn off. In my opinion it serves no good purpose. The blade is sharp and seemingly of high quality. There is some slight play to the blade mount, which higher end knives should not have, but it doesn't compromise function. The seat belt cutter feature seems to be a gimmick, but honestly I haven't messed around with it a lot. For the price I think it is money well spent, and would replace it if I happen to loose my current knife.

Reliable EDC
I have owned this knife for over 4 years and carried it every day. It has done everything from open mail and cut fishing line to open jammed lock boxes and chop through wood. The action works perfectly every time. The steel is durable, and easy to sharpen. The tanto shape is by far my favorite for every day use. The only reason I may need to replace it is the clip loosens over time, as well as tends to lose tension over time if you wear a decent pair of jeans. Unfortunately, I let my grandfather sharpen it one day and he took most of the tango shape out of the blade. I look forward to using the blade for years to come.

my everyday carry.
This is my second one. I would still be carrying the first one if I didn't break the tip-off. You should never pry with a knife, but you know you got to do what you got to do sometimes.

Durable Adventure/Everyday carry knife
I purchased this knife 4 years ago, and over that time it has done nearly everything possible. From backpacking in the New Mexico Sangre de Cristo Mountains, canoeing in the Boundary Waters, whitewater rafting on the New River, mountain biking, kayaking, being used as a self-defense weapon, you name it, this knife has been absolutely excellent. It can handle most heavy work the backcountry requires such as splitting small firewood, along with training to fight by stabbing or slashing a heavy bag. In addition, it performs more delicate operations like acting as a first aid scalpel for blisters and splinters, or just cutting open a letter. This knife can do it all. I highly recommend this knife for someone whom craves adventure and knows how to care for a good blade.
