Versatile and Dependable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 8 months ago and love it! Not only does the trimmer have plenty of power but the battery lasts forever! I also use the 60V battery for my 20V tools and I can't say enough good things about it! Highly recommend!

Up in SMOKE!
Timmer is great! I purchased one in May this year and worked perfect until last week. Then trimmer head smoked and stopped working. I let it cool off overnight and tried it again with a full battery. That did not work. I hope Dewalt will stand by their tools. This trimmer should last longer than 5 months!

Great trimmer, excellent battery, very poor head d
So 6 weeks into ownership, and the trimmer is great but am now on the THIRD trimmer head replacement as the cap for the head gets destroyed easily. We dont use on concrete, and it gets used once a week. Like tha I dont use gas, but DeWalt, need to improve the design or make the cap available as a replacement instead of buying a whole new head.

Power is good. Head is poorly designed
I purchased this trimmer as an upgrade to my previous trimmer. In general, I am a fan of Dewalt cordless tools, and own 20+ drills, recip saws, impacts, rotary multitools, sanders, etc... I purchased this trimmer a couple of months ago as an upgrade to my Greenworks cordless trimmer. This appears to be more powerful. However, after 4 or so uses around our house, the cap on the head needs to be replaced. we do not use it on concrete. But I cannot replace just the cap. I have to replace the whole head. I am deeply disappointed in Dewalt. This cap should not be so easily damaged under normal operations following Dewalt's instructions for dispensing more string. Additionally, when the cap does inevitably need to be replaced, I should be able to just purchase the cap, not have to replace the whole head. When I decided to upgrade to the 60V ecosystem, it was with the intent of adding 2 chainsaws, a pole saw, the large circular saw, the jobsite chop saw, and others. Now I am seriously reconsidering all of those, due to the poor engineering on this tool. Final note, as mentioned above, this was intended to be an upgrade to our Greenworks trimmer that is 5 or so years old, and still has the original factory head. Come-on Dewalt!

Trimmer head no good
It is a great trimmer except for the trimmer head - going through lots and lots of .08 line which breaks. I loaded .095 line and that binds.
