paired with the right bosch router abd base its a
i bought one of these for my son last year along with the plunge router and lift base. mounted lift base to table perfectly aligned. the router fence mounted easily and had shims so we could use it as a jointer and that worked perfectly. my son is not an expert but after a year of use the one thing i can say that needs attention are the stand offs used to mount the feather boards. when you take off the feather boards they slip off.... it would be easy to make ones that dont. i have a 3d printer so i am planning on making one as a test i will send the desing over once tested. this year for christmas i got a router table already had the bosch router and it fit like a glove, i was cutting circles in no time! i do find the miter track is confusing as the miter gauges i have (kreg and shopsmith) both are not very usable i will look into how to make this better. all in all for the money if youare a hobbiest this is a great partner with the bosch router and bases. router is very well built, I have 4 routers and by far the bosch is my favorite.

Benchtop Router Table RA 1181
It’s OK for beginners but not recommended.
For something purposely designed with parts to match the router table is the worst thing to see. I I have used an aftermarket table it would be different.
For some reason my MDF fence is off a couple of thousands creating a slide issue.
Side pockets that won’t even stay in place.
Miter guide track is .050” over creating a major problem.
It’s the idea of it’s built this way.
Sloppy design.
I’m having a add brass shim stock to tighten my miter slide.
I purchased this for my Incra IBox and Rockler XL sled.
Without shims I can’t even use the track.
I’m strapped for space and thought that this would be better than dragging a big tablesaw out.
Cord storage is a joke.
Corrective action
Evaluate table drop in.
Close the track so it accepts 3/4” key as advertised.
Secure core tray.
Add front and rear covers to support a large recovery vacuum hose.
Something easily accessible.
I should have done my research prior to buying.

Missing the leveling screws
I received this as a gift for my birthday and after spending some time and setting it up I realized that the leveling screws and the locking screws are not in the package. This mean that the table is completely useless. Not only that but I cant figure out how to register the product or find parts for it because if you try to register it the RA1181 does not seem to exist.

Ouch!
I have used the RA1181 for over a year. The materials are satisfactory. The setup was tedious, but it turned out okay. The table itself is fine-average at best. However, if you intend to go beyond a beginner, this table shows its flaws. The insert, where the router mounts, is not a standard size. So, if you want to add a lift, you almost have to buy the bosh one. This caused me to buy a third router, a Bosch, so that the lift would fit. This lift is dependent on a cheap ring to make it work. The problem is when you mount the router under the table, the ring does not last long (weeks) before it slips out on the tiny groove and bends, making the lift useless. Be warned, once this ring slips and you are attempting to adjust the bit height, it tends to free-fall down-watch your fingers. I am let down by the German engineering that went into this flimsy method. Bosch did send me a replacement ring, but only one when I requested a few. These rings are less than a penny each for Bosch! Do research and focus on the insert plate size before buying this item. You might pay more but, you will have a wider selection of accessories and a lot less stress!

Incorrectly-sized miter slot?
Advertised as having a 3/4" (the standard size" miter slot for accessories, such as a miter gauge. The slot is significantly wider, meaning there is an unsafe amount of play, even when used with Bosch's own miter gauge that they sell for use with their table saw.
This greatly hampers the use of this table for many cuts and jigs and, honestly, a very strange choice. Not recommended until they figure this out with an updated version of the table.

frustrating
the router table itself is mostly ok, not great (leveling was a pain) but the really frustrating thing is that the mounting plate that came with the router is *not* the routing plate in the manual
the holes are in totally different spots. with a bunch of rotating I could almost make 3 holes match my dewalk 618 fixed base, but not quite, and not being able to get three holes meant that there was a lot of vibration when using the table.
the vibration sheared the head off one of the screws and bent the other, which left me with a broken fixed base for my router that I'm going to have to replace, and meanwhile, even when I do replace the base (which is like, 50% of the cost of the table) I still won't have a mounting plate that fits, so I'm kinda screwed unless I replace the entire table.
and to add insult to injury, when I tried to upload photos with this review to show the mounting plate I have vs the one in the manual the site broke and wouldn't let me upload photos.

Warped table top
I bought the Benchtop Router Table RA1181 a couple of weeks ago. The first router table was warped -- not flat from left side to right side about 1/8 to 1/16 inch off. I returned that router table and replaced it with the same one. And guess what that second table was also warped (not flat) the same as the first one. This is very frustrating. This only produces problems down stream with woodworking.

Not Flat
Given the quality that is generally associated with Bosch, I bought this set up with hope of having a flat table and insert and a reliable fence but I was very wrong. The edges of the table are a 1/16 to an 1/8 lower than the insert and the insert is also not flat with a low spot in the middle. I have a convex table with a concave insert, pretty hard to make precise cuts.
