California Residents Proposition 65 | www.P65Warnings.ca.gov'. | Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other construction activities contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Some examples of these chemicals are: Lead from lead-based paints, crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other masonry products, and arsenic and chromium from chemically-treated lumber. Garbage
This pad is made from cheap plastic. Brand new replacement lasted about 1 hour before breaking off. Usage was a light sanding on a door nothing hard. Is it time to buy another brand?

Lasted 1 year
I used the original pad for 1 year and it failed. I bought an aftermarket with a metal backplate instead of the plastic that the original uses.

Useless
Holes for screws too large. Even if tightened down, it feels horrible. Paper flys off of it too within 10 seconds...Trash...Buying a Makita

Doesn't last.
I bought the sander a year or two ago and since then the pad has come to pieces while using it twice. Other sander pads have worn out on the velcro part which is understandable but on this the velcro is fine but the whole piece breaks into two pieces exactly the same both times.
