all good but the temp gauge
This smoker is awesome I give it 5 stars. It will barely fit 2 racks of ribs (from costco) per rack without trimming/cutting them but you do have to bend or squash them together just a bit if it was 1 in bigger round there would be no issues. So dont get the 16" its will be to small. I got a gasket sealer for the door and it still leaks smoke I cant imagine how much it would leak if it I didn't have it. I installed it before I even used it recommended by youtubers, I also added it to the top of the barrel for the lid. The door leaks about the same as the thermostat now. For some reason if its not all aligned center like the pic when I put it together it wont go together so mine is not a perfect circle, after a section is on then I can spin things. The door is a good size part of the reason I got it, however I have limited access to charcoal unless the water pan is removed and the issue is the same for the water pan unless the 2nd rack is removed. You can get to the 2nd rack of food but I recommend something smaller like k-bobs you can remove on a stick. nothing big that requires tending to or removing. I only use the 2nd rack for a fat/geese catcher pan. I wish one racks had handles for easy removal so you need gloves or I have to use my tongs to remove the top rack to access the 2nd.
water pan: I do use with water but if you do its hard to get it over 250 unless you use lots of charcoal. water boils at 212 deg. so it will hold 225 with ease all day with little to no adjusting. I haven't hit 275 with water going on 10 uses, once I remove almost all the water it will get over 275 easy but I have to adjust it much more often. With water the lower rack is 10-25 deg lower then the top rack. With out water its both racks are +/- 5 deg from each other.
The temp gauge I give 1 because it moves but its USE-LESS. My temp probes show 225 and the lid gauge shows 150 or just past it enough to see some white space between the 150 line and the gauge indicator so not even to 175. If my probe shows 250, the lid indicator is still below the "smoke" temp range. DO NOT go off the lid it is WRONG. youtube commenters have the same issue its at least 50+ deg below your top rack if you use water like I do that puts it 75+ deg off your bottom rack.
Charbroil Please replace or use a different lid temp gauge the one that comes with your smokers ae GARBAGE.

Good value if on-sale would not recommend on quali
I just bout a week ago, It was good time putting it together.
The smoker is ok for the price but quality is not on par with competitors.
the Ashtray had a spot without coating (bare meatal showing) that will inevitably will create rust.
The middle meat tray had one of the three little legs felling off during the first time I smoked something as if the welding was off.
Third issue if the heat control that is very unstable throughout the cooking it could be improved by adding some gaskets..
I did loved the looks, Price point and the port to get the thermometer .
I would not recommend this a BBQ fan unless they are DIY looking to improve this yourself and roll the dice on quality.
If by contrary you are not afraid of welding some parts here and there and add some gaskets yourself this could be a good value.

So far so good
Im seasoning the smoker as per instructions, and it's going on 2 hours now and it has been consistently holding temp 225-250. had to mess with the vents every so often but hey, that's smokin!!!! i'm loving this smoker so far, next weekend i'll throw something in it and see how it go's, I don't think i'll have any issues.

Fantastic Features!
I bought this smoker for my husband and boy am I glad that I did! With an innovative airflow control system it simplifies setting and maintains cook temperatures. The steel body and cooking components stand up to rust while still being easy to clean. The removable ash pan system neatly collects ash from hours of cooking, making clean-up simple. The meat he smokes tastes amazing and we love this smoker!
