do not build them like they use to
I bought this knife to replace the one I lost. The handle is square and uncomfortable to hold. I rounded if off like the original handle came came. It now matches the older5 set That I have. Spend the money and build a nice knife. It can not cost that much to round over the edges on the handle. other than that I love the knife

Excellnt Product and Service from ShopWorldkitchen
We ordered this product as a replacement knife for one that somehow found its way to our compost bin a year os so ago and composted for several months. The old knive is still functional, but the walnut handle is tattered. Chicago Cutlery's new paring knive is top notch quality and sharp! It is one of the most functional knives in our daily use inventory. The ShopWorldKitchen vendor handled our order wel in the middle of the Christmas season rush. Good transaction, promptly delivered product. Thanks

Great knife that is more than reasonably priced
I bought this for my wife for Christmas to replace a similar one from a set that we somehow managed to lose. The good: this is typical Chicago Cutlery excellence. The knife is super sharp out of the package and well balanced. It is constructed of high grade materials but doesn't come as a wallet breaker. I love the look and feel of this knife. The bad: it doesn't fit the style of the one we lost but that is a small detail. The one we lost was over 15 years old so I'm guessing that they don't make the exact model of knife anymore. Again, this is a small issue. No one really notices anyway.

Knives for a lifetime.
Handle needs smoothing. I soak the handles in mineral oil when they begin to look dried out. Don't leave them sitting in water.

I would buy this product again.
Product & Service are excellent. I have used my original set of Chicago Cutlery for 45 years. I do wish individual replacement pieces were available in local stores.

Great quality.
I've had and used these knives, for over 30 years. I recently bought a whole, new set, for my daughter in law, who always admired them.

We love this knife.
We love this knife. We use it for just about everything every day. We bought this as a replacement when our other knife was thrown out by mistake. Was thrilled to find this, almost bought two.

I am replacing the knives that are over thirty years old
Our set is over thirty years old. I have sharpened those knives to the point there was not much left.

Oops - isn't like the original
This was to replace the 3 inch paring knife that went missing at Thanksgiving. I've had my Chicago knives for 40+ years. I love them. But this one doesn't fit in the walnut block that came with the original set. Sticks up about a 1/4 inch. I'm afraid I will snap the blade if I keep it in the block. Not sure what I'm going to do.

Love this knife!
I have had this knife for 43 years and was devastated when I lost it. Bought another right away as I use it every day. Looked at others, but wasn't happy with their size and shape. Lo and behold, last night, my first one showed up, so now I have two. Perfect. Now I can take one to work to use. It was sent quickly, so was very satisfied with the whole process.

Love this knife!
I've used this knife for 38 years and replaced it only twice...lost it both times. I missed it every day until the new one arrived. It's my favorite.

Just what I wanted.
My husband decided to use my knife--which I'd had since 1974--as a screwdriver some years ago and broke off the tip (what a surprise). I haven't been able to find Chicago Cutlery in the stores in and around Chicago, and so I went to your website. I was glad to see that you still carry this line of cutlery and was very happy with the service and price (a bit steep on the shipping, but OK). Many thanks. Roxanne K. McNamara

Fixed the problem
"Someone" used the paring knife in the knife block we inherited from Grandma for a pry bar and broke off the tip. A paring knife without a tip is like running a race in leg irons. We were devastated because we have no idea how old this knife block is. I was much relieved when I found a replacement on your website. It is not a perfect match but with a little wear and tear the subtle differences will not be so noticable. Thank you so very much.

A must have knife
I have had Chicago Cutlery on my counter for more than 20 years. A few weeks ago my favorite paring knife went missing after a big family gathering and kitchen clean up! I can't tell you how relieved I was to go online and buy its replacement so quickly. Life is now back to normal. Thanks.

Replacement for lost knife
I have had a set of Chicago Cutlery for over 20 years and use them everyday. My 3 inch paring knife got lost and I was pleased to be able to find a replacement to complete my set again. With other brands, small knives have small handles, but this paring knife fits well in my hand.

Just what I wanted
Exactly what I wanted to replace the one I lost out of my set. I like it because the handle is easy to grip since it's wood. And it's thick enough not to slip round in your hand, but not as overly thick as the OXO line. Very nice and sharp, plus these knives sharpen easily when they do get dull. I've use my whole set for 30 years and they're still my favorite knives. Good service too!

Chicago Cutlery is the best value for the price. I bought these knives, 2 of them for me, and 5 for gifts. These knives make wonderful birthday and wedding gifts.

Best Paring knife ever!
This new purchase replaces the same knife that I have had for 35 years. I broke the point off the old one, so who knows how long it would have lasted :)

Don't buy these knives. They are not sharp!
I purchased these knives for my wife who had used one like it for many years and really liked its size, shape and feel. I was excited to find them still available. We ordered three, one for my wife and one each for my two daughters for Christmas presents. The knives arrived shortly but my wife was very disappointed when she started to use one of the knives. She found the knife was not sharp and she quit using it. We now have three unusable knives.
