Part of Chicago Cutlery's well-known Walnut Tradition line, this paring knife is notable for its patented Taper Grind edge, which stays exceptionally sharp. The blade is made of rust-resistant, high-carbon stainless steel, and is complemented by an ergonomic, triple-riveted handle comprised of solid walnut. The full-tang assembly extends from the tip of the knife to the end of the handle, adding balance and heft. Made in China, the knife comes covered by a lifetime warranty. Hand washing is recommended

Love my new Chicago Cutlery paring knife.
I had a Chicago Cutlery paring knife for over 30 years. It came up missing. Thinking back I had peeled 15 pounds of potatoes a few months ago. I must of accidentially threw it away with the potato peelings. I have a bread knife to that I wouldn’t part with either. Love the product.

I would not buy this product again, especially as a gift!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was purchased as a gift for someone that thought my 20 year old knife was wonderful. However, the knife handle was received not completely finished as if it had missed the final manufacturing step. The wooden handle is a "square" block that is uncomfortable to hold, The corners had not been rounded, as they are on the perfect handle of my older knife.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this paring knife to replace the one my wife lost recently. 40 years ago I bought a 5 knife and steel Chicago knife block set. We have been very happy with it. This replacement knife had very sharp square corners on the handle and were very uncomfortable. She was not happy until I rounded the corners and sanded them. Now we are again happy with our Chicago Cutlery.

Good replacement
I had to replace my paring knife and couldn't find one locally. This one is almost identical to the one I lost. The handle is a tad longer, but it matches my other knives and is sharp enough to do the job!

Best paring knife!
These are the best pairing knives I've ever used. Someone bought one for me when I was first married. I've bought a few extra of varying brands over the years and they never compare and end up in my trash can. I just got myself two more and the handle is slightly different but still the best I've ever used!

Best Utility Knife EVER!!!
I have had this knife for 30 years? It does everything & is incredibly strong. I open Ball jars with its spine. I even cut open plastic bags with it. And it keeps its edge. Sharpen it up a few times a year on a whet stone & tune it up before every use with a steel. My favorite little knife!

Love the S100 paring knife

Have the same knife from several years back - the old one had much much better workmanship - this new one was a very rough not fitting in the hand at all. Would not normally comment but this use to be my very best (favorite) knife before it accidentally went into the garbage disposal grinder. As a result I have spent hours making the new knifes handle more like the old one - advise check your QC on handles - do a better job in the future!! I am JR user of your knifes for 25 + years!

Quality has deteriorated
I have had a block and set of walnut handled knives since 1978. I really like them and decided to add a couple more and ordered them through my local Ace Hardware store. I was so dissappointed in the current knives. The handles are square, not softly rounded, and not as comfortable in your hand. The blade is much thinner. Either the quality has changed or I got some knockoffs, but the packaging appears authentic.
