Ran out of line in less then 30 ft
Just got my trimmer/edger yesterday. Excited to edge my yard. 17 ×17 foot yard. I ran out of line before i was half way done. Thinking....do i buy more line or buy a new trimmer?

Easy for me to use
So easy for me to use. It's lightweight and there's no hassle of mixing gas. It's lower priced and gets the job done. The string is really easy to pop in and out. However, I do think the string is overpriced compared to other brands.

Dead after 2 years
stopped working. I took it apart, bought a new on/off switch thinking that it failed, but no response at all with a new battery. Can't find any problem. Must be the circuit board. (Charger LEDs stopped working after 2 months, but that is a minor issue.)

Eats line like nothing I've ever seen!
I bought this a few years back to replace an old 'bump and feed' unit that finally died. This thing feeds line whether you need it or not! I can go through 100' of .65 line in less time than it would take to just hula hoe the yard!

Much better than my old B+D bump trimmer!
The automatic spooling makes trimming so much easier.

String eater
This thing eats/throws string so fast you’d think Black and Decker had shares in the company that makes the string. Not recommended!!!!

Will suffice with after market string
Recently purchased to replace an 8 year old B&D bump feed. This one feels more balanced in hand and seems to work decently enough for small yard edging, trimming. This issue I have with this unit is the auto feed. Nice idea but when using B&D spools with their string it feeds far to much string out, then tries to cut the excess, which in turn creates a tug on the spool and more string is thrown out. I went through an entire spool of B&D string before I was half done and it's a small yard! I seem to have found a remedy to this by respooling myself with after market .065 string. For whatever reason this seems to work and in turn saves me lots of money as B&D replacement spools are very pricey. This is an adequate, inexpensive, corded string trimmer. All I need for a small yard. Not a bad purchase but do beware as in my opinion B&D string has quality issues.

String trimmer
I have this trimmer/edger and like it. I can do my entire yard with this trimmer if it gets to high. The cord is a little inconvenient but I usually throw it over my shoulder to help keep it out of the way.
