Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cannot Configure device. Refund my money Impossible to set up. I have ATT fibre internet 5 GHz and 2.5Ghz wifi. No external notice on device packaging that it only works on 2.5 GHz Wi-Fi, and requires simultaneous connection to BluTooth and 2.5 Ghz. I wasted a day on this. Displays the typical stupidity of the Internet of things, what multiple devoces are individually configured, and there is no "key box" or set of keys for multiple devices from multiple vendors to hand to anyone managing the property. or a new owners assuming control of the property.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not very smart I like the ability to control from the app, water now and customize. The issues I have - no battery back up - loss of power or loss of internet connection requires a hard reset of the system. - does not auto reconnect. Meaning I need to be in front of the control to power cycle, push the reset button, and manually reconnect to WI FI. - no push notifications that connectivity with the controller has been lost. - can’t get the cover off without pulling the whole thing off the wall (yes I used anchors).

DO NOT BUY THIS THING.  Take a look at the reviews.  This thing is complete garbage.  It would not connect to my Wi-fi.  My router is less than a year old and I have more than 20 other devices connected.  It took repeated scanning before it even found ANY wi-fi networks and there are at least 15 in my area.  I tried unplugging and plugging back in, restarting the app.  Nothing.  I'm returning it for a refund.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from All zones set to the same start time! Whoever approved the design was not paying attention. “Changing your watering time will be applied to all zones”...are you for real? The whole reason to have more than one valve is they can be customized started at different times! That is job one of any timer!! The water pressure would not be nearly enough to support all zones simultaneously, let alone leave sought pressure for any water use in the house. Fix this!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One BIG flaw in it’s design. This is WIFI ONLY. Bad idea. If your GRO hub looses internet connection for a brief few seconds it typically will reconnect to the WiFi. If you loose internet service for say 5 min. It times out and will not reconnect wirelessly. And will not water anything unless it has internet connections to the server. You can not reconnect the hub unless you are standing next to the hub with Bluetooth. So let’s say you leave town for a week. The hub looses internet connection because of an internet outage. Your plants will not be watered. All of this could be solved by having the ability to connect the hub via Ethernet cable (hard wire). The hub has no Ethernet port. Issue 2: If you have set up a guest network on your wifi that should support a 2.4 connection and the GRO hub drops and other devices can connect at a faster speed the hub may not reconnect. All of this would be resolved with an Ethernet port.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Overwaters Owned it for 3 years and it always overwaters when you use Smart-water feature. I have tried everything and spoken with support multiple times. It waters in the rain or after it rains. Doesn’t perform as advertised. It should automatically adjust to conditions but it doesn’t. It works on fixed duration and you manually adjust each day you want it to water.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Major Problem It will only allow you to turn on and off all zones at the same time. When you set a timer for 6:30am it changes all zones to 6:30am. Sorry, I don't have the water pressure to water all zones at the same time. It even says on the app when you change the time, it will affect all zones. I am returning it.
