[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great for decks and even heavier snowfall on driveways and walkways. It’s lightweight and easy to use.

Difficult to start 2nd year.
Bought this snowblower on 11/4/2021. Used twice that year to do sidewalks. This year went to start it for the first time today. Put fresh gas in the tank, and does not want to start. Paid a lot for a snowblower to use only twice before having issues. Owner's manual not helpful either. I would not purchase again in the future. Anyone want to buy a slighly used snowblower? Almost like new.

Poor assembly and warranty
Bought this snow blower in February of 2020. Didn't use it that year because we didn't have enough snow to bring it out. In the late winter beginning January 2022, had several bad snow storms which I needed it. Started to use it and after it warmed up and went to put the switch to run it would stop. So had to run it half choke. Then when using it, the machine shook so hard it broke the plastic housing on it. Took it to get repaired under warranty and it was declined because the cause of the shaking was a poorly assembly of the paddles which was hitting the housing causing it to break. Was told the paddles are only warranted for 1 month. Everything else had a 2 year LIMITED warranty. Well, when you buy this and don't have snow to use it on, boom....the warranty for the paddles expires! Also, it took the warranty department 2 months to get back to the repair shop and give them their decision. Poor!

Good Features
We live in the St. Louis Metro East, and snow fall is hit an miss at times. When we have had to use our snow blower, it worked well. We have used it a total of 3 times. Doing maintenance on it at the end of the season, but as of today, we have 3 inches on the ground and more snow on the way, and the snow blower doesn't work at all. Not happy at all with this product. Had re-do how the gas tank is held in place due to a faulty design. Probably will never purchase another Troy Bilt product again. Dealership I contacted wanted more money to repair the product than what we paid for it. Forget that. It should have last longer that it has.

I won't miss our old Craftsman
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The time had come to replace the Craftsman blower that I bought when our youngest went off to College. I still need only a single stage with Electric start. The Squall 179E fills the bill Nicely.. The Fuel Level Window is some thing my old machine hadn't had [Nice]. It has a touch too much power when going down-slope on our driveway; ergo the 4 star rating. Everything else is a 5 star delight!

Save your money
Had this blower for a week now. I want my money back.
Vibrates so much I don’t see how it can possibly last for long. Plus, auger bogs down and stalls in less than 2” of snow
Run away from this unit.

Fuel Tank Bracket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This snow blower worked well during its first use until I tried to add gas. It was then that I discovered that the screw/plastic piece that fell out of it was the fastener bracket that secured the fuel tank. This left the fuel loose to flop around. I returned this blower to merchant for exchange.
