Purchased as an exact replacement
Purchased as an exact replacement (existing one had a corroded spout, 15 years old). I was merely going to use the pump and spout mechanism so I could avoid working under the counter. New pump unit is slightly oversized from the existing one and would not work on my existing collar above the sink. Also found that the new unit would not pump liquid hand soap. The spring mechanism was not strong enough to return the pump mechanism back to the up position. Very disappointed and would not recommend this unit. The manufacturer obvious cut back on manufacturing costs.

DON'T BUY
I am now about to return for refund the third one of these in two months. In each case the polyethylene (?) mechanism worked for about three days. Before using it with liquid soap (Palmolive original) the recoil spring pops the dispenser back up ready for another discharge instantly after it is pushed down. Great! After being filled with the soap this occurs with increasing stiffness for about 10 discharges and then sticks in the down position. It acts as if the spring is not strong enough, O-ring has swollen or there isn't enough clearance for the plunjer shaft to slide easily. DON'T BUY THIS POORLY ENGINEERED OR MANUFACTURED DEVICE, especially if you're over 16 and don't enjoy scruching into the sink cabinet to install the soap container from below while lying on your back.
