Big challenge to even use
The packaging was hard to remove and the battery was harder to install. I could not remove the cover.

Read instructions
Every time I hear about problem with the chuck/clutch I laugh. Years ago I actually read the instructions for use before using, most don't. Most people will insert a drill, grab the chuck collar and engage the motor to tighten the drill. Wrong!!! This is the most common way of ruining the chuck/clutch mechanism. Insert drill, hand tighten them move fir/rev switch to middle position which "locks" chuck rotation. The by hand only, tighten drill.

Keep tiles clean
I purchased the device because I can no longer scrub the tub/shower areas with just a sponge. I appreciate being able to keep the areas clean by letting the grimebuster do the work while I just have to move it slowly across the surfaces.

Speed Control Fails after One Year
This drill was one of the first tools I bought when my old 18v DeWalt NiCad batteries died off, and I knew I would have to switch everything to the 20-volt XR system. That was just over a year ago. Today, doing nothing more than driving wood screws into plywood and 2x4s, the speed control made a metallic grinding noise, and refused to go into high speed ever again. A half-day job took twice as long because this drill would only run at half speed. And NO, it was not the batteries; They were fully charged. My old 18v DeWalt drill was just about bulletproof, through all kinds of conditions and use. But for this to give out SO easily, under such light duty?? This is a serious disappointment. I know the pandemic was tough on production with "global materials" (please), but it makes me wonder if it also the DeWalt brand decide that it was okay to turn out junk tools.

Contact Missing
On a flat counter top, when the brush unit is hung on the base unit, the charging terminals on the main body does not make contact with the terminals on the charging station. Contact was achieved by placing a 1/4 inch pad under the charging unit, middle-front. The brush unit does a good job in removing grime and in cleaning items.

Great idea, lousy power switch
This is a great tool - but the power button is very difficult to use, both turning it on and turning it off. You have to press HARD in exactly the correct location. This takes away the convenience of using the scrubber.

the chucks suck
I have had my Dewalt 20v max /XR for 4 years. I love the feel and weight of it. I use mine daily in my shop. I have noticed chuck issue from time to time. well now it will not release a drill bit no matter what you do. you think stuff would last longer when you pay few hundred bucks for name brand. Or you get better warranty for normal wear and tear. being a small business have tools break can cause a big impact. Now I have to go and buy a new drill as this one is screwed, Man it sucks.

Very nice!!
I received the DCD791 today. It feels great in the hand. I charged one battery, clamped a junk 4X4 in the vice and drilled fifty five 1/2" holes through it with a twist bit. It's very strong and comfortable to use. I am replacing an aging 14.4V Dewalt DC728 1/2" drill that has served me well for years. This new one is far better balanced, shorter from chuck to rear and is a pleasure to use. I'm glad I bought this drill instead of buying new batteries for the old one, this one is a huge step up.
