It works - but you have to pay attention in setup.
I kept trying to program it from the existing remote. I have a Genie Intellicode garage opener. The key to success was taking the light cover off the garage opener itself and pressing the black button on the machine - not the other remote. Red light came on on the garage opener, pushed the button to be programed on the new garage remote 5 times and the garage door sprung to life and the new remote was programmed. In fact, once I learned the procedure, I was able to program the buttons in the car, as well. I now have the key fob version on order along with the outside keypad.

EZ to program
Just finished using this for my two door system. Programming was easy. Since my range is always close I really can't comment on that. For me, it was perfect. I pulled it out of my part drawer to replace a factory opener that had failed after several years of use.

Says it will connect with lift master so I bought this product and it will not connect to my receiver. Huge waste of $40 do not buy

Misleading
I bought this remote to operate my new opener with a learn button and the single car side with old dip switch technology .
The package says it will do both. The instructions refer you to the website and do not tell you either other than suggest you buy a whole new opener!
How hard could it be right! Guess what chamberlain spent or saved the money to not include the switches in the remote without changing the packaging. The packaging says it has them !

Remote works, Included instructions, not so good.
I have bought replacement remotes in the past and the instructions were always very detailed step by step. Had to go the the online site to get the most important instruction. Make sure the door is closed. Once I did that everything went fine.
