Worthless. What are they thinking?
Renters put hole in door. Well, many with scratches. Put the in. Two days later still soft. What the heck am I supposed to do? I guess replace the door. Cause this crap is worthless.

Will NEVER harden
Many customers have complained about them wrongfully assuming this product would harden *eventually*. NO, IT WILL NOT. But if I am the one buying it and using it, then shame on me. However, it's actually my flooring contractor who has been using this to try to fill out some dent and gap/voids. As it never hardens, I questioned the materials they used and they eventually gave in and told me this is the product they used. They promised me that *EVENTUALLY* it will harden and I just need to give it adequate time. What a joke, and I don't know if he said that because he genuinely was misguided or because he knew it all the way and would just like to grab my cash and run, all the while letting me waiting forever in vain for this product to harden. Minwax should really completely remove this product from its product line as I see there is no use of it whatsoever other than causing massive confusion among contractors and consumers, and leading to disasters after disasters.

Disapointed
Its my fault for not noticing the fine print, but what is the purpose of non-hardening putty? Its like filling a gouge with bubblegum. Now, I have to scrape it out and hope it doesn't interfere with whatever hardening putty I replace it with.

not non hardening
Do not believe the statement that it does not dry out. Opened a new jar because the old one was pretty dry. Fresh jar was hardened about 1/4 inch in top.

Poorly labeled - useless product; never hardens
Minwax - your product is poorly labeled and misleading people who expect it to harden like traditional wood putty. They're damaging their projects with your product.
Instead of blaming the customer for not reading the small print on the back (which is far from clear), how about you do the right thing and prominently label the front with "Does Not Harden", and maybe don't even call it 'putty'. Consumers have a strong expectation that wood putty will harden and be sandable / paintable / maybe even stainable - if Minwax wants to make an exception to that rule, the onus is on you to clearly mark your product. (Separately, I can't fathom what market research led you to the conclusion that people actually want a wood putty that stays soft - how useless.)

Great product!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought it for the first time and I used it on the wood blocks that had few holes in them so filled all of it. It covers very well! I am happy with it. I will buy it again when I need it. Great product to have.
