Another Broken Door Story x 2
This door has so much potential but i have gone through TWO of them already. My cats figured out they can push hard enough on them to get out. This has led to them breaking the plastic flap.
Of course, for some reason, you can't purchase a replacement flap for the SKU. So you are just out the whole installation.
Its a shame because I need a good 4 way locking door and no one seems to have engineered one.

Cat could unlock
We had lost a cat previously so we were happy to put in a cat door that we could control regarding when the cat would go out. Unfortunately our cat was able to open this cat door from the inside even in the locked position. He would scratch at the knobs and be able to turn them, he would also put his claw into the weather stripping and pull the door open to get out. He loved being outside but with wildlife around here it was not safe. He got out one night with the door in the locked position and has yet to return.

Door gets stuck mid-swing
Hi, the door gets stuck and requires some force to pop open. We have had to tape the door permanently open otherwise our cat gets stuck. It's too bad because we have already cut a hole in our door. Loosening the screws 1/4 to 1/2 a turn did not work.

Replacement flap??
Cat door broken in half, can't afford a new door or cat door. Where can I find a replacement flap? A whole lot of cold air is getting into my house...

Decent for the price BUT....
Decent for the price and the cats have adjusted to it well. The following quirks annoy me though: 1) the door is not heavy enough to consistently return to the down position for the magnet to grab it, so the flap is open partially about 50% of the time from their tails preventing a full swing. 2) The lockout tabs work, but I've seen my cats pressing hard enough to try and get outside that I've given up on trying to use them – I know they will end up breaking the plastic (see all of the other reviews of people who have experienced broken flaps – and not available to buy a replacement!)

Serves its purpose
I've gone through several of these over the past five-six years, all due to the flap being broken, with break starting at the lock. First off, the door does need a third lock on the bottom. I have six outdoor cats that all use this door to come in the garage. The problem, for me, isn't my or other CATS at all. The problem with this flap is raccoons, smelling the cat food in the garage or knowing its in there from nights it doesn't get locked, and getting their paws underneath the flap and pulling it to its breaking point. There's a huge difference in pressure applied between a cat and a 35 lb raccoon with tons of dexterity.

Great door!
I installed this door in my basement wall yesterday everything went perfect door works and looks good the only problem is when the cat goes through it snaps back into closed position on it’s tail which she didn’t like too much but overall a nice look and easy install!

Wish I could rate lower than 1 star
Just spent an hour trying to install as a replacement the original same brand broke. I was unable to use optional screw guides, as the whole had been cut too small. Working alone I found it impossible to align the screws while simultaneously holding the door in place. As soon as I got a screw in the middle insert would fall out. I consider this a terrible design, and recommend redesigning this item, a sentiment supported by the 2 star rating. Yes we are returning this item.
