Wrap thread tape on tail piece
I second what "Home Handy" said in their review. Ya gotta unscrew the tail piece from the main assembly and wrap thread tape on it or it will leak. Once I figured that out, this item worked fine for me. Also, there are two ball gaskets, one for either side of the ball. You need to use both. Other manufacturers might only use one gasket.

Worked perfect. Quality built.
Worked perfectly. Was second purchase after a big box brand one cracked in half during installation. Use thread seal on the tail piece or it will leak. Instructions should have been written as such.

This product does not fit together
The plastic ball mounted on the pivot rod is too large to fit between the tailpipe housing and the retaining nut. It looks like the wrong parts were placed together in the packaging. I've picked up two of these mismatched units at the Rona store in Oakville, Ontario and they both have the same mismatch problem. Very frustrating!
Also, the assembly diagram is needlessly small, and could use an inset to show juxtaposition of some of the parts.
