Rated 2 out of 5 by from Old Technology - Out of Date For Today's Batteries This product is a good quality and price but is not functional for most of today's batteries. It has only a "Grab Catch" that is designed to be used for old style car batteries with lead posts. So many of today's batteries do not have the lead posts but have screw terminals for which this tool would not work without modification. I was removing 6 lead acid batteries from a golf cart, each weighing about 50 pounds. They had screw down terminals and had a built in lip in the center of each long end of the battery. The lips were made so a lifter could hook on to them but this lifter was useless in that case. I eventually got a large washer and put the screw terminal through the ring on the lifter, put on the washer and then the nut and hand tightened on the lifter I got the batteries out of the cart but with significant stress because the terminals were on one side of the battery and the lifter caused the battery to tilt to one side and was unstable. While I have the batteries out of the cart and on to my trailer to return for a credit my back is injured and I have a message into my doctor to see if I can get some medication for the pain. A disaster is how I would describe this product design.
