Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bring the old scent back! I have used Dial Soap since it first came out...and always loved the quality of the soap...and especially the scent of it. Clean and fresh and the scent lingered all day. Now it just smells like a plain glycerin soap...it cleans well enough...but doesn’t have the fresh fragrance. I know that the formula had to be changed, but why did the scent change? Please bring it back.....make an unscented soap for those who need it...and give us back the real Dial soap scent. If that can’t happen......then I will definitely look for a new soap.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the same odor protection Dial gold bar used to be my go-to soap for odor protection. No more! I preferred it to others for its effective odor protection and delicate nutmeg scent (as opposed to other deodorant soaps which I think smell like insecticide!) Did I see that the active ingredient used to be Triclosan? If so, why change? It really worked

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great feeling soap I have always used dial, no matter how the old smell, old formula, vs the new smell, new formula, dial has always kept me clean, and always worked!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the same soap I’ve used Dial bar soap my entire adult life (I am 65). I am very disappointed in that it’s formula has changed greatly. It seems like a lot of cheap glycerin has been added to this soap. If I wanted glycerin soap, I would have purchased it. As the bar gets smaller (and it gets small VERY fast) it becomes transparent. . . you can see right through it. It doesn’t lather like it used to and doesn’t smell good like it used to. It’s been cheapened, all for the company’s bottom line. How did you think we wouldn’t notice?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Burning and itching skin rash I recently tried dial gold for the first time and within a day of using it, it's left me In a bright red rash that burns and itches. It has been nearly a week now and I still haven't been able to get rid of the rash. Do not buy this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from skin rash ? I have used this for years, on and off. I had found it reliable and okay. The most recent package I purchased left me with a skin rash. I would like to know what exactly changed from previous formulations. I don't mind changing soaps, but I really want to know what changed, what I allergic to so that I can include it in my "medical history".

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I will no longer use dial soap The changes in the new dial soap are: Shape is hard to hold Odor is bad The feel is like lanolin I do not like this soap any longer. The makers of dial soap really made a bad decision for these changes

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The antibacterial active ingredient changed This soap used to use Triclosan as the active antibacterial ingredient. However, the FDA banned Triclosan in non-medical products like soap. The chemists at Dial now use Benzethoniumm Chloride as the active antibacterial ingredient. This is why the formula and smell changed. For more information call FDA at 1-888-INFO-FDA
