Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage Honeywell should actually have to pay us to use this 1980s low quality piece of ! It should not be classified as a thermostat it should be listed as a "programmer"!! That is all it ever tries to start but oddly enough it never actually does!?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Difficult installation My older Honeywell thermostat had a C terminal clearly marked and was being used. This new unit doesn't have a C terminal and nothing is mentioned in any of the manuals or installations guides. I don't understand why?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job I purchased the RTH2300 B a few years ago and have not had a single problem with it. Easy install, it is small, has clean lines and, for all of the functions, seems minimalistic. The One and Only problem I have is that there isn't a lock function. My oldest daughter can finally reach the buttons and turned the heat up to 86°F before we left the house for the day. She wanted the house to be warm when we returned from sledding. Too bad we went sledding 2 hours away and didn't return for 12 hours. You get your money's worth with this product. It wasn't the least expensive 5/2 programmable thermostat but it looked better, had more functions and, most important of all, it does what it's supposed to do. My only critique, Add A Lock Function. Heck, even my TV remote and toaster have locking capabilities.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Six month terminated Pro installed about 6 months ago, 2020, and last night we had a power outage. This apparently caused the thermostat to reset or wipe all settings. Following instructions in the manual, VERY small print, attempted to reprogram the box. Looks like it took the imput but NOT WORKING HEAT. Reset furnace switch and reset thermostat program waited a few minutes, about ten, and turn on furnace. Blower runs, NO HEAT and at 6 degree F, it is cold.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Quality Control I've noticed that this model has varying quality controls: the one I bought previously lasted reliably for years, but the next iteration of the same model often says "Heat On" but fails to engage the boiler, and allows my heat differential to drop several degrees (right now it's 61F in my place, and it's supposed to be 70F). i'm in the middle of New England winter, and some days I wake up shivering and have to huddle in a room with a space heater till the thermostat decides to hail the boiler. Pretty miserable now that I'm at home 24/7 under quarantine. I'm an engineer; I understand sometimes you've got to troubleshoot a product. I've gone through almost every relevant internet resource to try and correct this issue, and I even paid to have a professional come over to look at the thermostat and boiler. I'm on my second replacement, which failed even sooner than the first one (first model started malfunctioning the week after the warrantee expired; Honeywell gave me a replacement, which started showing issues after the first month). Advice: I would look at the form factor of the device: if the text on the front says "Honeywell Home", it's one of the more reliable iterations of this model. If it just says "Honeywell", then good luck. Honeywell used to take pride in their brand, but now they just pass any of my complaints over to Resideo Technologies and wash their hands of the problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The screen on the thermostat will not show display It was installed about a year ago and it’s been difficult to program. And the display has gone out on it a couple times. And after a while it all of a sudden starts working.
