Broken and won't respond to remote
This product worked fine for a couple months. Then one day I went to use the remote and it stopped responding all together. I've tried re-pairing the remote, resetting the Roku, and power cycling everything. Nothing will work, and Roku doesn't provide an easy way to solve my issue. They even took over two days just to respond to a simple support request.

Bought the stick a while back been using it for a now and it over heats easily. Got the adapter and it still over heats. But works. Looking into getting the next one up to stop the over heating problem.

Faulty product. Would not recommend.
Absolutely the worst. I got this home from the store plugged it in and immediately got an error code 022. This is saying that the long range receiver isn’t being found. The only issue… this receiver is a part of the power cord. So it’s powered on but not sensing the receiver? It’s wired in, you cannot unplug it without unplugging the power. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting that I could, talked to support, they were not able to fix the issue and said to return the product.
That’s fine and all but this is an error code that people have been chatting about since 2022… how is this still an issue with a product a year +?
Now I have go back to the store to take it back, get something else or the same thing and hope that one works when this one didn’t.
Very faulty product and it seems like this isn’t a one off. Such an inconvenience and waste of my time.

Not Worth It
I bought this a year ago. Lately, it’s started to freeze and restart Roku on my tv. There is no red light on the streaming player. The wi-fi receiver is not located near exposed input ports or resting on other electronic devices. Also, my wi-fi signal is strong—the tv is only a few feet from my router. Roku has no tech support phone, and the instructions that come with the Stick have no troubleshooting information. I wasted my money. I do not recommend this product.

Remote doesn’t work consistently
I’ve owned several Roku models and have never had much luck with the sticks because the remotes never seem to work. But it had been a few years since I tried a stick so I thought the problems must have been worked out by now.
Nope.
The remote just doesn’t work consistently. It will work for a few button pushes, then stop responding. The TV volume and power still work, but the RF talking to the stick just stops. New batteries? Didn’t work. HDMI extender? Nope. USB plugged directly into the wall? Nope. Updating the device? Done, no help. Nothing works.
And the sad part is I replaced an existing 3800X with this because of… remote problems. Back it goes and a new Ultra is on the way, hopefully the new rechargeable remote doesn’t have the same issues.

Worst piece of crap on the planet
This piece of crap continuously shuts itself down, and yes the 20 minute shutdown has been disabled. You constantly have to get up an unplug to restart after it freezes. I have owned multiple Roku devices, but this is the biggest piece of crap in history. Don’t buy this garbage. It sucks. I will NEVER, EVER purchase another Roku ANYTHING again. this is total garbage.

I got this to replace my old Roku. Got the stick set up, connected to all my streaming services. Worked for a few hours... next day it was frozen. rebooted, and watched a few shows. Froze again, this time rebooting did not fix the problem.
Could I call support and ask for a new unit? Sure, but I am at the point where I don't want the hassle of junk devices. I would rather pay twice as much for something that is reliable.
