Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extra storage in the bathroom or bedroom Very sturdy shelves. The color taupe (looks like a very light tan). Used in my bathroom for extra storage for cleaning products and hair essential item. The color blends well in the room.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Powerful but vibrates a lot Just purchased this 8'' Dewalt for the powerful motor but man has it got a vibration. Not sure if the shaft is bent or the wheels are out of balance. Either way, it's not good. Should have paid attention to the online reviews but I thought, maybe the box was damaged. This box looked like it had been handled properly so it was boxed at the factory defective. Probably going to return and get my money back, 40 miles back to the store. Not happy Dewalt!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Be carefull I bought it yesterday and replaced it today Both are very noisy and make a lot of vibration. On both of them left bearing sounds like an airplane taking off. right side bearing were ok. I'm a mechanic and work a lot with electric motors . So I know how bad bearing sound like. Many of my friend has a 8" Dewalt bench grinder with no problems for many years . They work great. So what's wrong with Dewalt ??? Or I'm just unlucky one . Will be returning it back to the store .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Balanced, reliable Runs great - gets job done. I have a fully loaded workshop and 99% of my tools are DeWalt because I can trust they stand by their warranty - albeit the one time I had to use the warranty service, weeks became months waiting for the part(s) to come in to get the repair needed. Generally, however, if you take care of your DeWalt tools, you won't have problems requiring warranty. The torque, power, durability and reliability are outstanding when it's DeWalt.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good grinder but poor Quality Control Picked one of these up yesterday brand new. When I unpacked it I noticed the right guard was bent in a little. Installed the tool rest to see if it was going to be an issue. Then I noticed the guard was loose. I took the wheel off and found that only one of the three screws that holds the guard to the body of the grinder was installed. Will be returning for replacement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value and a workhorse grinder I purchased this grinder about 6 years ago. I changed out the wheels for ones that erode since I use it to grind wood lathe tools. I notice some reviews indicate wobble when first turned on. My experience is all grinders need to have careful adjustment of the wheels to run true. This grinder has no vibration and no runout once set up properly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality for Dewalt Upon unpacking, this grinder vibrated and shook like crazy, the wheels would not run true (almost 1/8” runout). The wheel nuts had been over tightened from factory to the point it had distorted the wheel plates. Upon notifying dewalt, they sent 1 (of 4 required) replacement plates. This took almost a month by time I received, and useless as 1 of 4. I dialed the shaft, and found it to have 0.004 runout. A bit more than I would like, but not end of world. I proceeded to machine my own side plates, and upon mounting them I performed more dialing, and found the faces of the shaft spacer bushings to be unparallell by 0.007-0.008”, and had to machine them true as well. A pretty shabby amount of repair/trueing to have to do to a new grinder.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from In use since 2007 for occasional varied projects I've had no issues with the grinder itself. Guards are easy to adjust. The only glitch is one of the two (or both?) wheels arrived out of balance, which is a permanent condition, so the grinder vibrates the whole wall of my garage when I run it. If I used it more often, I'd replace the wheel. It's not horrible, but annoying.
