Rated 2 out of 5 by from 1 out of 3 sprayers worked! Buyer BEWARE! I bought 3 bottles of Scotts Turf builder for my lawn. The first bottle worked great!! the other 2 bottles would not spray. I had to buy a generic spray bottle to use the product. I have used Scotts product in the past and they work great IF YOU CAN GET THE PRODUCT ON THE GRASS. So a one evening project turned into a 2 night and another trip to the store for a sprayer kind of project.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It used to work great! I expect this is the same formula that I've used for years and loved. However, last year I was surprised to find the new bottle design did not distribute the product as before. Someone online suggested I use a Scotts Liquid Turf Builder bottle from previous years with the old design. I was surprised to see I still had an old bottle in my shed from the year before. I emptied the contents of the new bottle into the old bottle, and the formula worked fine, and I was able to put it on my lawn as usual. I know Scotts has been inundated with people who were disappointed that they wasted their time, water, and money by using the new bottle last year, with no distribution of the product. So I was sure that Scotts MUST HAVE IMPROVED the design for this year. I WAS SO WRONG! Sure enough, tonight I watered half my lawn, and there is no distribution of Turf Builder liquid. Just a waste of time, money, and water. You are smart people at Scotts! Please just go back to the old design. This new design is not any prettier, and it sure doesn't work. Replying to hundreds of people who have the same problem with the bottle with, "that's not what we expect" doesn't really sound very honest any more, does it?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poorly Designed Sprayer I had some bad luck with the "Garden Expert" weed and feed last year so I decided to go with a pricier Scotts product this season. I read the directions, connected the hose and pushed the spray lock all the way forward spraying my yard in a sweeping motion starting at the furthest point working back towards my house. 15 minutes later, after assuring a consistent coating of the grass, I looked at the bottle and realized that the bottle still appeared 7/8's full through its site glass. I ended up going over my yard 4 times before the bottles content was used. Even though I have excellent water pressure the bottle "nozzle" still splatter-dropped the spray. I moved the lever forward and back several times wondering if it was broken (not a good feeling when your spraying your yard). I bought this 3 weeks ago and still indifferent on its effect on my yard. I worried as I applied hoping I wasn’t killing my grass because I went over it 4 times. I checked my water pressure with a 3/4" pressure gauge and confirmed 55 PSI so that wasn’t the issue. My grass is green and hasn’t died just like some of the chickweed and clover.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sprayer Sucks These sprayers never work when the bottle is half full. If I were to pour the contents into an Ortho Dial n Spray, what setting should I use?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Spray nozzle failure on three bottles. Poor design Tried to use this product but after lengthy spray (5,000 sq ft) no drop in fluid level in bottle. After third bottle fails, I count this as defective design.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not that great. Applied this just over 2 1/2 weeks ago and most weeds are still thriving. Only a few weeds have browned and I waited until no rain was in the schedule for 4+ days. This was very pricey and would not recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor labeling. After purchasing this product I find in the fine print on the inside label that it is not for St. Augustine. Please label that clearly on the outside so you don't waste customers time. Thank you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective sprayer I bought this without checking the reviews. I followed the instructions and sprayed back yard. I checked to see if there might be enough to do the front and it was still full. At least I watered the yard. I have plenty of water pressure and made sure the lever was pushed all the way forward. Anybody know what setting to use on my Ortho Dial n Spray so I can get this product on my yard?
