Great tool, Lots of Power!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few weeks ago and this tool is excellent, cuts through anything that fits in the blade! this tool is lightweight and extremely powerful, Very nice design. Recommend this with a 5amp powerstack! Defiantly reccomend this tool!

Somewhat Disappointed!!
Received as a gift for Father's Day 2023. Used it 15-20 times throughout the summer and loved it. Easy to transport and carry, especially when climbing a ladder to reach taller limbs, etc. Also useful in these situations as it only requires one hand for operation. Unfortunately, this past weekend it just stopped. Tried several different fresh batteries but it still will not work. Light comes on. Nothing else. Not my expectations from Dewalt as I have multiple Dewalt tools that have performed flawlessly over the years, thus the 3 stars!! Hopefully it is a one-off and not what the future holds for Dewalt quality!!!!

Premature failure
This tool worked quite well for about a year and a half. Then I began experiencing the issues that others have mentioned.. The tool would shut off after a few cuts; perhaps this was a malfunction with the auto-shutoff feature. But now, it has completely failed.

Call Me Surprisingly Impressed
First saw this while I was buying the 8" pruning chain saw and thought, why? I didn't think pruning by hand with manual pruners was that big of a deal. The more I thought about it, I went back and bought it and glad I did. It was a lot of help making easy work of a lot of storm damaged trees. I also have blueberry bushes and about 80 trellised blackberry plants. I'm amazed at how much faster the pruning goes with this and no hand cramps that night. I once used it for a 7-8 hour day of pruning with just one 1.5ah battery and it wasn't spent yet. Amazed at how easy and how well it works.

amazing for homeowners w/trees
We live next to a park and have endless limbs and pruning. This pruner makes it a breeze. Huge time-saver. Easy to use, powerful. I was cutting thick limbs that would have taken some strong effort with a manual tool. Very happy with this purchase.

Works pretty good on smaller stuff but there’s no way it would cut a 1 1/2” branch as advertised. Still it’s great on smaller stuff.

Overheats Quickly, Stops Working
Used the pruner on two occasions. Both times after 10 or so minutes, unit stops working...I assume it's overheating. After letting it rest a little while, resumes again.
Is this normal??
I own many Dewalt tools; first with this issue.

Excellent Tool
A real labour saver. Our yard looks great. The annual pruning of our yard takes me 4-5 hours + 1-2 hrs to cleanup/tie-up the branches. I did the same work in less than an hour. The clean-up was under 30 minutes, as the tool is very handy to cut the branch bundles into max 4’ length. Good to be extra careful!
